OMG I found a flavor you don’t have. You do need this. It’s an excellent flavor. I think the raison might end up saving this recipe for me.
I just ordered the Oatmeal Raisin earlier this weekend!
I didn't see it at BCF but found it at Gremberry Farms (as well as a few other things!)

    Somewhere between here and there
I managed to get my review posted. It's about time for me to get to bed so I can start another week of work.

Well, since I lost 70% of the vision in my right eye after the detached retina my depth perception isn't what it used to be. Sometimes a kadunk just sorta happens.
Don't you have a hard time poking wicks into coils? I've been temporarily blind in one eye three times, and I remember threading needles being nigh on impossible. Even my current compromised vision makes me have trouble with wicking sometimes.

No, I don't have any problems with wicking or coiling. No problem threading needles either. Yes, I do my own sewing repairs. Even stitched up nasty cuts on a couple dogs!!!

I was born with a birth defect in my right eye. The retina never fully formed around the optic nerve. It's called optic nerve coloboma. I knew from a young age, per my eye specialists, that made me very susceptible to having a detached retina at some point in life. Vision in my right eye was always considered legally blind by the eye experts, even though I can see. See yes, but was never able to read anything with my right eye or see details on TV or in peoples faces etc., all blurry. At one time I was told I had 20/800 vision in that eye, so yeah, that's considered very near blind.

I adopted to poor vision easily as a kid growing up. My depth perception was always quirky, but I quickly learned how to compensate. I had to. Heck, I was a pitcher in little league baseball also batted lefty and righty and was a decent hitter. Never had any problems driving a vehicle either.

After two detached retina surgeries many months apart ('98 and '99) I was left with about 30% vision in my right eye. I required 2 surgeries, normally a regular person would have only needed one. Going from 100% vision to 30% completely threw off my depth perception. I had to relearn that, and it did take a good long while.

I have some photos that were taken of the inside of my right eye from before the detached retina. My mom used to work for a retina specialist / surgeon who was also a university clinical professor. He wanted the photos for lectures and for seminars he did around the world for other retina specialists. He said my optic nerve coloboma was very rare compared to what they normally saw. I'll look for those and post one.

I also have a very advanced cataract in that eye. My team of doctors say it's too risky to remove. Dealing with even less and less vision as the cataract has grown is another ongoing interesting experience. Eventually I will lose the remaining vision in that eye. My doctors are always telling me "protect that left eye cause it's the only good one you have", like duh!!! My left eye also has optic nerve coloboma, much smaller in nature, but it can be corrected to 20/20. Been told the possibility exists that I could have a detached retina in that eye.

Not to sound flippant, but I deal with the :censored: that comes my way in life, like many folks who are dealing with stuff I reckon. I've always been a very upbeat person, and will remain so, no matter what kind of crap comes my way. I've been through other fairly rare medical problems, dealing with a couple now, so yeah, deal baby!!! Life, I love it and ain't no sh*t gonna change my positive outlook. Nope.

We live for a time, then we move on. Simple as that!!! Ain't no guarantees in life whatsoever. And that's why I tell my loved ones how much I love them each and every day. For me, Life is all about maintaining Balance. Sometimes I do well, other times not so well, always get back up though, always. LOLz

ooops, and that got longer than i planned....... oh well, no biggie
