Happy to report that we actually did get some water from the sky, nearly 1/3"
Despite ALL the maps showing rain everywhere, we sat watching those maps and looking outside to - bare and dry. Didn't start hitting the ground until about 10 PM here.
Claim is more coming, sporadically, for the next few days. )

Actually no tracking showed up until the 22nd. So this is really just Day 2.
I brought my gifts out to the dining room to be opened after birthday lunch and cake.
It is my plan now to start wrapping the Christmas gifts I have. I really need to get them out of my closet so I can get to my ecig stuff. I have a few other gifts in totes but they can wait. I may start on that tomorrow.

Think I'm finally done with the hummingbirds. They disappeared for a week, then came back in small numbers for a couple of weeks. The ones around here are dark brown with light coloring on their throat and chest. The later ones were a different variety with bright green wing feathers. They behaved differently too, stopped on the telephone cable about 10 feet from the feeder sometimes for 15 or 20 minutes just taking a sip now and then. I assume they were birds from up north stopping by for refreshments on their trek south. Not sure how they find the feeder though.
Anyway, I haven't seen any for several days. I'll leave the feeder up for a little while longer just in case.

Good morning. Nothing accomplished yet this morning. Just taking it easy and thinking about getting in a workout. I’ve been slacking again.
I just walked, actually hobbled, home from church. It's hot and muggy. It's currently 91, but feels hotter, and going to get up to 95. A slight chance of thunderstorms tonight. I'm going to watch the Cowboys game later today. The Aggies had a bye yesterday.
Birthday Party just broke up. Everyone headed home and Amanda has to head to the airport to fly back to NM.
That’s the same time that the Chiefs play today.
