Turning out to be an exciting afternoon. There was water dripping out of the first floor smoke detector. One of the water hoses on the washer was dripping and leaked down through. No major damage and drying things with a fan now.
Glad there was no major damage.

Work was busy today. I had nearly 100 stops scheduled. My insurance switched the OTC benefits from Walmart, who ships everything in 1 box by FedEx, to Amazon, who ships everything in separate packages by usps. I wonder how many other people's insurance did the same? I could see it being very busy at the first of each quarter if that's the case.

In football news, Dallas beat Washington. The Cowboys actually showed up for the game and played pretty well. They were headed to the playoffs anyway, but with this win, they get home field advantage. They are 8-0 when they play at home and 4-4 on away games.

I thought everyone’s laundry’s would be basement or first floor.
All three bedrooms are on the second floor so it’s nice having the laundry upstairs. That way you don’t have to go up and down with the laundry.

Spent most of today cooking (pasta sauce, meatballs, apple pie, etc.) plus cleaning and rewicking the Berserker RDA.

After the first attempt, I kept getting a burnt taste when it would get hot. Pulled the wick out, and it was immaculate.

Pulsed the coil, and it started to smoke near the coil ends. I'm guessing broken tufts of cotton got stuck under the captive screws that hold the coil in (these cotton balls are messy to work with). They must have gotten enough juice on them to not burn immediately, but when it got hot enough they started to smoke.

Hopefully the second rewick today sorted it out. So far so good.

That’s true but not nice when you get a leak.

I think the snow here is supposed to start around the time I leave for work in the morning. Hopefully it’ll be clear in the morning but I’m sure we won’t be as lucky on the way home.

Hoping you get both ways with no big problems.

I’m a little confused how we are supposed to get all this snow today when we have a high of 37. I’m thinking that a lot of it won’t stick to the roads.
