SMT, I actually hate you today. I'm really disappointed that Dallas sent the Cowgirls in today. Dallas got the America's Team name back in the days of Coach Tom Landry and QB Roger Staubach. They really don't deserve it much anymore, even the SB winning teams of the 90s. They won't deserve it again until Jerry Jones goes.

Today we had a high of 12 degrees, but fortunately it's been dry. I wouldn't like being out on slippery, ice-laden roads. Black ice is a thousand times worse than snow. In snow, everyone knows to either stay home or at least drive slowly. With black ice, the speed demons think everything is fine until they hit a patch of invisible black ice, and wipe out, taking others with them.

I was able to keep warm today, at least most of the time. Tomorrow is going to be a balmy 25, but still dry.

High of 2F here. Wife went shopping and her tire pressure light came on. She is going somewhere in the morning so I had to sort it out today. All her tires were down to around 30 but nothing dramatic. The 12V pump was in my S10 and the door was frozen shut. Took me 20 minutes and a spray bottle of alcohol to thaw out the rubber door seal. The pump would only run for a few seconds at a time before shutting down. It had to pick today to die. Took a coffee break.

Went into the garage and dragged out the compressor. By the time I got it outside with the hose and extension cable I couldn't feel my fingers. One more trip outside to plug in the electrics and hose and fire it up. I could only do one tire at a time before my fingers froze. Got all the tires done but the warning light was still on. Crossing my fingers it just needs to run for a while before the computer detects the correct tire pressures.

Knew the S10 needed the tires filling up so I decided to take care of that while I had the gear out.

With all the breaks to thaw my fingers out the whole deal took a couple of hours. My fingers still ache. My nose hurts from the cold air and I'm sneezing. I'm not leaving the house again until springtime.

Awww Terri, I still luv ya. Honestly, I did not think the Packers would win today. Figured as a young team they would get one game of playoff experience and be done.

The Packers will probably lose next week against the 49ers, they don't play well against them.

We got another dusting of snow yesterday. It's going to stay below 30 today but the sun will melt it. Then the forcast says we can expect over 2 inches of snow tomorrow afternoon. That won't melt for several days.

It will be a fun game no matter the outcome. The 49ers have always been a favorite team of mine, going back to the Montana years.

As of this morning, Vegas has the 49ers as 9.5 point favorites over GB.

One of the things I've learned watching football, the game is played on the field, not on paper.
