Good morning randome folks:) Have you any plans today?

I went into Denton this am for an echocardiogram, and I have to go back this afternoon for a CT scan of the heart (calcium score). I tried to get them scheduled on the same day, and I did--6 hours apart. No way I was going to hang around town for 5 hours not doing anything. Shopping was out of the question because I'm trying to save money. I called to see if they would take me sooner for the CT scan, but no go. I did drop off an old printer and laptop at Best buy for recycling.

    Random flavoring thoughts.

Lately I've been reducing the amount of flavoring I put in my regular recipes. Mostly don't even notice the difference, guess my taste buds evolved. I have one ginger flavored mix. Originally made it with TFA Ginger Ale and some Gingerbread Extra Ginger to boost the flavor. The Extra Ginger is the darkest flavoring I've seen, almost black. It kills a wick in no time. Last mix I dropped the Extra Ginger, it's less intense but I like it fine. And the wicks last much longer

I only used 1% Extra Ginger so my first small bottle lasted a long time. When I needed a new bottle nobody sold it any more. I had to pick some up direct from TFA and they only sold 4oz bottles. Now I have an almost full bottle that I'll never use again.

I've got a bunch of flavorings that I don't use any more. Hate throwing them out. There's a tub of old flavorings under my bed, and lots more mixed in with the bottles I actually use. Keep thinking I should be more ruthless about getting rid of them. I think the Extra Ginger would be a good place to start.

Is too bad they wouldn't take you earlier.

Good luck getting rid of some.

I'm back from the CT scan. An hour's drive each way and I spent less than 15 minutes in the hospital. It's good that I didn't have to do a lot of waiting, but I would've thought that the scan itself would take longer. The echo was at least 30 minutes.

    Glad it was quick.

I, too, have a bunch of flavorings just sitting there. I've started trying to use them in my cooking, baking and coffee. Hey, they're food flavorings after all!

    Somewhere between here and there
Good evening. I’ve still got that one review left that I’m procrastinating on. I went out and mowed and put down fertilizer after work. I got out of work late and was less than happy about it. We are just too short staffed in the afternoon. The way the schedules are different for different people is making it really difficult. That and since everyone was cut back to eight hours there’s a lot of stuff that isn’t getting done.
