Good evening. I’m still kind of in shock from work today. They let our office manager/purchasing guy go today. He has worked there for 20+ years. He’s really been doing a pretty poor job for a while now so I understand why they got rid of him but it’s still shocking.

Good evening, hitt. :) Shocking because he’s been there so long.

Yes. He was bulletproof with the old boss but in corporate world you’re expected to do your job and he really wasn’t.

Hi Fran. I haven't taken my walk yet, but it is cooling down. I'm going to go over to the city park and see if there's any walking trails, for a change of scenery. I think there may be some, but am not sure.
Hi, Terri. :) I hope you find some nice trails.

Hi, Terri. :) I hope you find some nice trails.

In case anyone wonders how I keep track of my miles. I have a Fitbit that does that for me daily.

There were some nice trails there. The only trouble with them is there's no indication of their distance. I went twice around, but I don't know how far that is. I'm sure I went over a mile, but not sure if I hit 2 miles. I'm going to call the city and see if anybody knows. If not, I might have to get a fitbit.

I'll be doing good to get to 2 miles, but all of mine is in one long session...outdoors. Walking in this little duplex is pointless. It's so small. I'd get dizzy walking in so many tiny circles.
What about doing the walking in place videos? You get the same benefits except for the fresh air and scenery.

I've found that waiting till after sunset works. It's a lot cooler and there's still light to see. Come July and August, I might have to try the videos, or sign up to workout at the PT department at the local hospital. Then it might be too hot even at night. Tomorrow it's supposed to be cooler, but there's rain in the forecast. As long as it's not violent thunderstorms, I may just put on my rain jacket and rubber boots and walk in the rain.
