I'm not going to get to walk today, either at the park or on the treadmill. It's too hot to walk outside and the hospital PT closes at noon on Saturdays. I had to help my mom take her dog to the vet this morning. She called me last night because the dog's hip were hurting and she couldn't get her to take medication. The dog would snap at us if we got close and she bit mom last night. This morning, mom put some doggie pain meds dissolved in chicken broth into her water bowl and the dog did drink it, so she was doing better this morning but she still didn't want to be messed with. She would snap if anyone tried to put her leash on. Using a foam ramp, we were able to get her into the car but to actually get her into the clinic, I had to cover her with a blanket and carry her in, and she hates to be carried at the best of times. They fortunately put us in a room right away, and later the vet tech and I, using the blanket, got a muzzle on her. She got a pain shot and a subscription for pain meds.

I’ve been using the 4x4 cheesecake recipe I found on atf and honestly it’s not great. The cheesecake flavor just doesn’t come through enough for me.

Do you have any cheesecake that you can add to it?

I don't know if I ever mentioned my great GS Dallas here before. He's 5 years ago but will never walk or talk because he has Trisomy 18. The little guy is big on smiles though. Anyway Dallas caught a virus which is not good. He came through it ok thank goodness. After 5 days in the hospital he's home again today.

She'll be fine. It's arthritis due to old age and obesity.

I’ll have to look to see if I have any mixed. I could just add more flavor. I might just take the idea and work on my own recipe.

Five Things Custard • an experiment trying FW Malt in a vanilla custard

Fooling • an experiment trying Cap Jelly Candy in a vanilla custard (inspiration from reading a flavor note that it might enhance vanillas)

Memories (That You Hold) • another RYsomething

Haze, Vanilla Type • a vanilla custard with hazelnut

Frayed (O Re O, Re Oooo) • a vanilla sandwich cookie custard
