Morning, mixers.

They're backing off on claims of rain tomorrow, but still cool and humidity is high. We'll take it. (Well, not any choice... ;) )

Afternoon Terri.:) What's a chaplet? Not catholic so I don't know.

A chaplet is a generic term for a set of prayers for one's intentions. It also refers to the prayer beads that can be used to count the prayers. The Dominican rosary is the most common one, usually referred to as the Rosary. There are other types of rosaries and hundreds of other type of chaplets. The one I'm making now is the chaplet to the Holy Spirit. Actually, I just finished one and have started a second one.

Guy came round to read my gas meter this morning. Don't know what he was doing, seemed to be taking a picture of it from about 30 feet away behind a picket fence. Some new tech I guess.

Then it looked like he was feeling the fence looking for a gate, about 10 feet from the actual gate, so I went outside. He wandered over and held out a piece of paper. Said, I just wanted to give you this. I took it and it was a quite realistic looking $1,000,000 bill. After a bit of chit chat he said turn it over, it was some evangelical stuff. He said that could be worth way more than $1M, it could save your soul.

Kind of doubt he should be evangelising on duty but he was a friendly guy and not pushy, he dropped it after the soul saving comment. We had a pleasant chat and he went on his way. Wonder if I missed my last chance at salvation when I recycled the ticket.

I was going to wait but couldn't. Last night I made a test bottle of lemon cake with 2% FE Lemon added and tried it this morning. Not fair to judge it after just a few hours but I can taste the lemon now. I really need to make a larger bottle which will last long enough to steep a bit.

Good luck with the taste after a good steep.

Don't know about gas, but retired from the electric power industry. Many utilities are going to "smart" meters, read either from a hand-held device or, in some cases, from the main office. Saves the meter readers from dogs :)
