Good morning. Work has been chaotic the the last couple days. I hope it calms down a little soon.
When mixing I try to keep my flavors to 5 or 6, the simpler I can make the better for me.
When I mix with more flavors, it seems as if I can't taste them.

It looks like my average is about 6.
I'd guess 5-8 as a typical range with the occasional fewer and larger.
Often times the larger ones include trying to compose a base of multiple flavors (cream/custard for example) or trying to "stack"(?) - using multiples of a flavor to make a profile more "complete" or stronger (strawberry/blueberry trinities for example).
I'm still learning how this works for me.
While many of my fruit focused recipes contain a higher number of flavorings of late, usuall about half are enhancers for texture/mouthfeel, adding moistness, sweetener, or to brighten or pop the main profile flavors of which there are probably usually three.
So I might be using 8 ingredients to achieve my goal, but the focus of the recipe wouldn't be on more than half of those.
Still learning if this really works for me as well.

I slept in this morning. I had to drive my mom to my brother's so she can babysit his granddaughter. While I was in town I picked up a few groceries and got the state registration sticker for my truck. $75 for a 3 inch by 1 inch sticker.
BCF is set to arrive tomorrow. Jungle not until Mon. I almost miss the good old days of waiting for packages from China. Checking every day for weeks. Thought I was out of FE Lemon but turned out there was enough for another small bottle so I mixed it last night.
Next door's tree got dealt with yesterday. It took them a while to get the branch tied up but once that was done it came down fast.
