From reading flavor notes, most horchata flavors offer a milky or creamy cinnamon taste, sometimes with a bit of vanilla or rice notes as well.
So, it might be used here to add a bit of cinnamon note to the muffin as well as a little bit of additional cream/vanilla.

We have 44 but it’s super windy and still very high humidity. The sump pump is still going off but only a couple times an hour. Supposed to get 60 tomorrow so hopefully it’ll help dry things up some.

Just found out that besides going to Sam’s club that we have to go get compression socks for the mother in law. I guess one of the doctors she saw weeks ago told her to wear them and never mentioned it to my wife until today. That and the wife volunteered me to cut her dogs nails. Just how I wanted to spend my day off.
Thanks. It doesn’t help any that it takes my wife forever to get ready to go anywhere. At this rate it’s going to be 8:00 before we get home. I know for a fact that her mom has been out shopping so don’t understand why we have to go to the store for her. All of a sudden it’s an emergency and has to have them today.Sorry about that, hitt.
