Howdy random folks. I've spent the day "chasing rats" in regards to the house, on the phone with contractors, county permits offices, etc. I had to drive out there twice, once to measure the site to determine the acreage and again to take some pictures. I've met with one contractor and will meet another tomorrow. The site is 0.25 acres, plus or minus and I found out that I have to have 1 acre for the septic system, and since the land is staying in my mom's name, the permit will have to be in her name. The system doesnt have to be within my fence line, so we have 360 acres to work with, but i will have to put a fence around it to keep the cows off of it. Also, I'm going back to Houston to look at some more models on Monday.

It is extremely windy here today. Winds are 25-35 mph and that's not the gusts. The wind is kicking up a lot of dust, making things hazy and dim. I was driving in it and it threatened to blow my big truck off the road. I was going to walk in the park today, but it's too windy. I might (or might not) walk on the treadmill this evening.
