We had an easter miracle here. For a week the forecast said that it would rain hard all day today which would blow out our town easter festivities. Instead of starting at 2.00am it started at 8.00 but just before the festival was due to start it suddenly stopped. For 3 hours there was no rain and the sun came out. Because of the forecast not many kids showed up from outside town so the local kids got huge bags full at the easter egg hunt. They had another game in the town hall, there were numbers on the floor and the kids walked around the circle until the music stopped then stepped on the nearest number. The winning number got to pick a cake from a table, all baked by the locals. This year with the small number of attendees every kid got a cake. Big cakes too, a dozen portion sized.

Our oldest daughter drove in today and met us for dinner with the youngest daughter and boyfriend. It was a good time. Tomorrow the outlaws are coming for Easter dinner.

Said to be scattered rain, but that's what they said for yesterday and not a drop here. The did get the cooler temp part right, but mid 60's isn't bad for us this time of year.

We just got back awhile ago from shopping . Grocery shopping and a trip to WalMart for a birthday gift.
Happy Easter! I’ve been busy this morning. Our oldest is here until tomorrow. I put the ham on the pellet grill and made pancakes for breakfast. Cleaned up dishes and am waiting for the ham to come up to temperature so I can glaze it.

Good morning. The outlaws didn’t leave until around 7 last night then my brother in law came over afterwards and stayed late. It’s a long story that I won’t really get into here but will just say that I wasn’t happy about the situation. I got zero time to rest yesterday and now it’s back to work.
