Good morning. Hoping for the day to pass quickly. I need to go tonight and pick up something to cook on the pellet grill Sunday for Mother’s Day. Our youngest daughter and boyfriend are coming over.

I spent a nightmare few hours trying to get my taxes sorted out. It was rejected last week for a bad PIN because I didn't use the updated one they gave me this year. I went to the IRS site and got a new PIN and the tax lady resubmitted the return. Then yesterday she contacted me and said it was rejected again. I went to IRS. gov and confirmed my PIN. Tax lady was busy so I spent an hour on the phone with her assistant going through the website multiple times and she finally admitted the pin I gave her was correct and matched the resubmitted return. Then out of the blue she said she had rechecked the second rejection notice and maybe everything was OK, with no explanation. She was going to contact her boss. Now I'm waiting. Can't go out in case I have to get on the computer again.
Good evening. I got home and the decorative metal gate the wife had me order for our little garden had arrived so it ended up being a bit of a project since we had to incorporate it with the green metal fencing around the garden.
Update on my IRS problems. Finally got through to the tax lady. She tried a load of stuff and couldn't figure it out. With me on the phone she called the IRS help desk, got a message saying due to huge demand they were unable to connect her to a human today and to call back next working day. I have to go to the tax lady's office on Mon and try to call in from there.
She floated a few theories, none of which would be good news. Maybe they intend to send me a new PIN by mail. Or they will require me to submit my return by mail. Or it takes a while for the new PIN I set up to populate across their system. Her assistant apparently resubmitted my return multiple times in case she had typed something in wrong so maybe she exceeded some limit.
Waiting again.
