What’s everyone up to this evening?
I was working on a review. We’re going to make nachos with some of the pulled pork for dinner. Depending on the grumpy meter, I might try to post my review later.

    Hi, Fran :)

    Not much happening here.
Baseball was on early and now it's a bit of a struggle to find something I want to watch.
I mixed up a sugar cookie/marshmallow tester earlier. It's a revision of an older attempt but way more complicated lol.

Did you stash away some goodies from the party for later?

Most everything was eaten after the party. Might be a little salad left.

We were due for some rain this morning but it was 3 hours away all day. It finally got here just now and it's a big storm. Heavy rain and lots of thunder. Glad it waited so I could get my yard chores done. We had a few branches down friday night so I dragged them over to the woods. Couple of them were at the limit of my dragging ability.

I read a story on next door today. Some guy was reported to the health department by a jerk neighbor because he collected the fallen wood in his yard after the last big storm and piled it up by his trash bin so he could get rid of it whenever he had space. He posted the notification he got from the health dept, it cited a regulation saying that twig piles could become a refuge for pests and insects. He had 3 weeks to get rid of it or face a $2500 fine. Apparently it's an ongoing neighbor feud.

We got a call from my father in law about 7:30 asking my wife to follow him to drop his car off. Supposedly the mother in law didn’t feel like it. They don’t get along and she probably just didn’t want to do it. It’s always easier for them to inconvenience my wife. It gets a little old.

Good evening random folks. I had a long hard day at work today, 10 hours. When I got there at 9am, none of the packages had been sorted yet, so that had to be done. I didn't start on my route until after 10, and I had 70 packages to deliver. Most of them were out in the country with an average of 10 minutes or longer drive between stops. There were a lot on my route that I wasn't familiar with, so that slowed me down too. I didn't get done until 7pm. At least it will make my next paycheck nicer.

Morning. Not good. I couldn’t fall asleep at first last night then someone started shooting fireworks until almost 11. I didn’t fall asleep until after that. I’m exhausted this morning and it’s going to be a long day at work after four days off.
