Good morning, gloop:) Hope you and yours are well also. Have a great weekend.
Hi, Fran, thank you very much

We are doing alright. It looks to be a typical weekend here, which is fine by me.
I've been mucking around with a couple of different RTAs this morning that I haven't had fired up for a bit.
Of those, I currently have the smok Big Baby Beast going with the rba head.

I've mostly been using a pair of Geekvape ZX RTAs as I can get good flavor without a lot of wicking issues with them.

I love Cloudy but he just gives me fits dialing in the wicking.
I'll get him seemingly working fine for a couple of tanks and then he'll suddenly decide to start leaking.
Maybe one of these days I'll get him figured out.

    Somewhere between here and there
That happened to me a few nights ago and I have never experienced anything like it. I was so disoriented, it seemed so real and my heart was pounding.

I am about to start another very busy day. Electrician coming to replace 72 outlets and a breaker. Also having a new windshield put in the back up car I just bought.
It seems like it happens to me about every 1-2 months. Seems like it happens when I’m over exhausted. I mowed and trimmed in 91 degree temperatures last night then went and dug out some dirt for a landscaping project. This was all after a full day of work.

Good evening. Work was a little chaotic today. I’m still glad to be busy. Our oldest daughter is on her way home for the weekend. Just a few more weeks and we’re moving her back to an apartment here. It’s going to be really nice having her close by again after all these years.

    Good evening, hitt :)

Cloudy is a Hellvape Fat Rabbit Solo.
Sometimes my wicking seems good at first, then dry hits or leaking. Now and then I'll get a refill or two in before the leaking starts.
    All the gaskets look fine.
Tried stuffing the well, cotton just off the floor of the well, just a touch in the well.
When something does appear to work through until it's time to freshen up, I can't seem to duplicate those results again.
I may just be horrible at wicking!

I think I reviewed that one. I’ll take a look.

I just scanned my review and remember the wicking being a bit difficult. I tried a pretty aggressive comb out and got gurgling. I then slightly combed one side and no comb out on the other side and it worked ok but the flavor wasn’t as good. I’ll dig one out to build and try a slight combed out on both sides and report back.

No hurry - I know you seldom have much time to relax nights/weekends!

Honestly, I think that I'm just plain horrible at wicking. I have gotten a bit more consistent with the ZXs but still need to adjust or rewick sometimes as I can tell the flavor is off.
Sometimes I know that one coil is wicked a little thin but I try it anyway and end up redoing it because I can taste the difference.

I do watch (and rewatch) wicking videos when I haven't used an atty for a while or am having issues.

I even started doing the roll thing with the cotton - where you spread it apart thin then roll it up.
Seems to work better for me... sometimes.

I mostly use COTN threads although I do have other cotton and even bought some of the high end cotton that SMT suggested and likes. I found one of my tanks so will get a build in it tomorrow. I also just got the knight aio and innokin p60 for review but I’m not in a big hurry since I just got them.

I've mostly been using Muji cotton pads lately.
I also have Puffs pads, Amoza pads - they are the ones that make the "13 feets" cotton sliver packs on Amazon - of which I have a bunch as well.
I also have a big ole box of rayon though I haven't used any for some time.

I'm not sure if these pics are useful, but here are a couple of my latest wicking -

I was getting a little weeping after filling with this but not crazy bad. Just kind of filmed over the lower air slots - corner of a oaper towel soaked it right up.
Flavor is a shade off though.

Im not sure but it kinda looks like your wick might be sticking out a little to each side which might be touching inside the chamber. I put a build in mine tonight and did 3-4 light comb outs on each side then pushed the wick shoulders in a little with my tweezers. I’ll let you know if I get seeping.

Thanks, hitt, I'l take a look at the sides when I open it up again. I might rewick it once I empty the tank again - just filled it up about halfway.
One of my old favorite tanks was the original Zeus rta. It was super easy to wick and build and was top airflow which never leaked.
I missed out on that one but have taken a liking to the ZX dual.
