Good morning, hitt.Good morning. I feel like the flavor is a little muted compared to the same liquid in an itank I’ve been using.
Hi, hitt, I did rewick last night and brushed each side 4 or 5 times and dropped the tails in the wells. They go all the way down but it seems to be wicking fine - not dry.I’ve gone through about half a tank so far and the flavor is improving a little. Might just need some time to break in the wick.
I’ve only refilled once so far. I have the bottom and top airflows just slightly cracked open. I don’t like a super airy draw. No seeping yet. I do agree that most tanks have different tastes with the same liquid. I used to use rtas exclusively but fell in love with the itanks and coils so have been using those a lot. I do really like the dead rabbit mtl 2 tank a lot and have kept it in rotation since I reviewed it. I’ll let you know if I get any seeping. Like you mentioned, might be a good idea to replace the seals with the spares.Hi, hitt, I did rewick last night and brushed each side 4 or 5 times and dropped the tails in the wells. Sides seem okay this time.
Flavor does seem different from the ZX a little but could be due to tank design or coil. The same juice almost always tastes a little different to me using different attys.
There is still just a touch of weeping at the bottom airflow slots after refilling, not with the first fill though.
Maybe I will go over the gaskets again next cleaning.
Thank you again for taking the time to look into it!
Morning, David.Morning mixers.

Good morning, gloop.Good morning, mixers, wishing you all safe travels and a nice day![]()
That is sad.My wife and daughter are going to a celebration of life for my daughter’s friend that got hit by a truck. Very sad. She was only 24. I’m going to work outside on my project while they are gone.
Hi, Fran, thank you very muchGood morning, gloop.Wishing you a very nice day.

I'm not sure if these pics are useful, but here are a couple of my latest wicking -

I was getting a little weeping after filling with this but not crazy bad. Just kind of filmed over the lower air slots - corner of a oaper towel soaked it right up.
Flavor is a shade off though.

This is pretty good!
I mostly use COTN threads although I do have other cotton and even bought some of the high end cotton that SMT suggested and likes.
I tried rayon a couple times but didn’t care for it. The cotton you suggested is definitely superior but I already had a bunch of the COTN threads. Also, I’m a bit lazy and the threads make life easy.I still use the Cottonman Mavaton and Carolina cottons. I like his cottons because 1) he and his family have been growing cotton for well over 100+ years in the USA and 2) it's certified organic.
I also use TIDI rayon cotton balls.
Every other wick change, in an RTA or RDA, I switch between the two.
I’m surprised I didn’t think of that because I have to do something similar with my siren V1 tanks. If the cotton rests on the airflow inlet then it floods.I don't have a Hellvape Fat Rabbit Solo.
Perhaps (maybe???) the reason you are getting leakage/seeping is because the shoulders of your wick, where they come out of the coil, are resting on the deck where the airflow is under the coil.

And maybe, drawing excess juice to the path of least resistance, the airflow sitting under the coil???
My Atmizoo Tripod RTA has a "similar" build deck. And it's deck is very much like all the newer Kayfun RTA's.
What most of us with Kayfun's learned is to move the wick shoulders away from the airflow. And that's also what I do with my Tripod.
Like so.............. Tripod deck.......

I use a sewing needle to move the wick away from the center block where the AF is. Moving the wick shoulders away from the center AF block I don't get any seeping/leakage with my Tripod or modern Kayfun's.
And I also have my coil about 2mm above the AF. Your second photo looks to be ~2mm above also???
Maybe try moving your wick shoulders away from the center AF block and see if that helps???
Just a thought.![]()

Good afternoon, SMT.and then, good afternoon People..........![]()
Howdy, SMT, I hope you and yours are well
Thank you, I'll have to try and see if I can keep the wick off the deck to see if that helps.
They do have little "dams" between the deck airflow and the wicking ports but they are barely as wide as the airflow and less than the ports.
I do pretty much always have some wick beyond those sitting on each side of the deck.
I will see if I can't get the cotton just over those and into the ports without touching the deck![]()
