My order did arrive. I was surprised. It was awful late for mail delivery. There were a couple flavors that I couldn’t get at BCF so padded the order with some of the nomnomz supercharged flavors to try. I needed more flavors like a hole in the head but figured what the heck.
    Glad it got there.

    Morning, mixers.

Low 90s today, high 80s the rest of the week. Ugh.

    good morning People...........

up at 4am, wide awake, like seriously hyper, and absolutely don't need any coffee today....... decided to go watch the sunrise this morning..........
then walk/jog along the beach to burn-off some of my morning energy.........

was at the beach by 4:15am, lovely, just bunches of seagulls (100+ easy), a gaggle of geese and me

it was still mostly dark out, awesome, perfect serenity.........

first photo as it was starting to get light out, can only see some of the seagulls nearest the water, the rest were all camped out on the beach........... prolly still sleeping (lazy bums!)
    IMG_8339cr.jpg

some gulls taking air, heading out to deep waters...........
    IMG_8344cr.jpg

Sol just coming up over the horizon.........
    IMG_8373cr.jpg

nice reflection on the water, some gulls flying about.............
    IMG_8387cr.jpg

my smartphone photos don't do the morning colors justice........

this seagull came to about 3-4 feet from where i was sitting....... and just hung with me for several minutes...........
    IMG_8371cr.jpg

the gaggle of geese came super close to me, some within a foot or so, on their way to the water for the morning dip, none squawked at me, or showed any signs of aggression......

they get pretty aggressive and territorial when seagulls come near, they chase the gulls away and squawk at them...........
    IMG_8346cr.jpg

this one stopped and just stared at me for a few minutes.........
    IMG_8363cr.jpg

noticed this grasshopper on the hood of my car as i pulled away from the beach..... it stayed there until i got home, let me shoot a couple pics, then it jumped onto my lawn.......... hope it likes its new territory............
    IMG_8410cr.jpg

    another truly awesome morning.............
for which i am soooooo very thankful.....................

Did something new this morning, which doesn't happen much these days. My Solo went bad and stopped working in TC. Couple of weeks ago I replaced the SS coil in the Lemo with a 28g kanthal coil and started using it in power mode. Worked but it was a little tame. So today I put in a 26g coil. Had to up the power a bit but so far it's working great. I do have to figure out if my 10A batteries are OK with the power level. Not sure how to do that so I have a task for today. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Didn't recall ever using 26g wire. But I looked in my inventory on the computer and discovered I had a 30' reel of 26 kanthal and 100' of 26 SS. The SS was still wrapped in plastic but the kanthal had been used. Guess we all did some irrational buying during the hoarding era. Maybe I'll try replacing the 28g SS coil in one of the wife's Lemos with 26g just to see how it performs.

The rain just started so it's indoors for the rest of the day. Luckily I mowed the lawn yesterday, the rain is predicted to last for 5 days.

What coil Ω's and wattages are you using with the 26g SS316L?

I mostly use SS316L. 27g single wire, 26g single wire, 26/36 Clapton and 28/36 Clapton. I prefer 316L because I can take an RBA from a mech to a regulated mod running TC without any changes.

And for me, SS316L vapes cleaner versus kanthal. I never liked kanthal, it had an obnoxious metallic taste that I did not like.

My coils range from 0.5Ω to just under 1.0Ω.

Using 26g 316L I have no problems vaping from 14.5w to 30w (MTL/RDL/DL) on a regulated mod in TC or in wattage mode. Thinner gauges I am around 10.5w - 18w. Just depends. With regulated mods I mostly vape in TC, occasionally in wattage mode.

With lower ohm coils (ex. 0.5Ω) I use Samsung 15A and 20A, Sony 25A or Molicel 35A 18650 batteries in mech and regulated mods.

I do use Vapcell 10A 18350's in a few mechs, but I never run builds lower than 0.6Ω with those.

18500, 20700 and 21700 batteries also get used in mechs and regulated.

Superman? I always liked the Adventures of Superman with George Reeves.

Saw a couple of the Superman movies, and well, they weren't for me.

I used to enjoy reading Superman comic books when I was a youngster. And some of the other super hero ones.
