Good morning mixers
Good morning random folks. Today I'm gonna try and get more stuff done. The last of the Christmas presents should arrive today and I'll get those wrapped and I'll be done. More fudge and the strudel are on the agenda today.
I'm still waiting for my last Christmas gift that will be here Saturday. Today I have 3 things coming for a January birthday.
I got the second batch of fudge in the refrigerator and the first one cut and plated. Is there a nationwide shortage of normal peppermint candy canes? Last week, when I placed my Walmart grocery order, they substituted some sour fruit candy canes for the regular ones. I had to go to another store to get them. Last night, I couldn't find them in either my local grocery store or the dollar store. I had to settle for starlight mints. Fruit candy on top of peppermint fudge is rather gross.
I got the strudel made and in the refrigerator. I cut the second batch of fudge but it was still too soft to plate. I'm just waiting for the mail so I can finish wrapping presents. Then some clean up.
Misty has been extra rambunctious today. Just like a kid before Christmas.
I have 3 birthday gifts coming today. My last Christmas gift will get here Saturday.

Got the birthday gifts and they are wrapped. Tomorrow I will have 4 birthday gifts and I will be done with birthdays for now.
Still waiting for my packages. I'm sure the post office is swamped.

The packages have arrived. I talked to the carrier and yes, they are busy today. I suspect that I'll be busy on Sunday. The presents are all wrapped now and the wrapping stuff put away. The second batch of fudge is plated and back in the refrigerator. I've cleaned all the junk off the counters and have dirty dishes in the dishwasher. I've cleaned off the stove but not the counters yet. I'll have to sweep again, too.
It'd be a nice day if not for the wind. Sunny, 63⁰, but wind is around 20mph. It knocked my christmas wreath off my door. I'll wait till it's calmer to put it back. Saturday the high is 75⁰.
