I'm sure he's gone off to get some grub. But your guess is right...Nickels won't be back. Too many losses to cover the cost.

Such a shame as they look absolutely stunning with the contrast between the nickel and whatever is on the door, especially the blue one!

I was considering starting a preorder thread to gauge the communities interest in another run. You know how some companies do a new run of an old model. I would really like to get a copy of the first wood run. If we got a preorder list, then this might sway Rob to make some more. A preorder list is also fair. Thoughts?

Imagine a 1 for 1 copy of an original.

There is another wood run in the works...so no need to seek interest. It is already clear that the demand is there. The one variable that is throwing a wrench in things is time.

{shudders }

i was thinking about taking a trip to europe or asia this fall or winter, but the first time i read that a Woodvil run was in the works, i decided that frivolous purchases could wait a few months. hopefully, i'll be able to pick up one or... :)

Hay now, I got one of those :) I got one older than that... I need to dig it out and take a photo.

I think the original question was which Reos had limited production runs and were rarer than the other ones. If memory serves, that is a preproduction Reo from March of 2010 made in a special wood combination, and only two were ever made. Robert has one.

Geez, I wonder who has the other one.....;)

Ok found a bit of history for every one. I know this is a bit of topic for this thread but here goes.

This was the vid I remember watching after I got my first wood REO. 808 was all the rage back then. One neat thing about the original Wood REO was that it had a adjustable center post and could use any atty out there, Rob was way ahead of the mod curve.

Now as you watch this vid notice at mark (1.48) you will see the Mine REO still in its infancy a lot changed before he went in to production with the REO Mini.

LOL :)

Clyde, I also have one that I think predates that one. No magnet in the door. worked on friction. and the 808 connection did not have the adjustable center post. :) I need to take a few photos of it and and talk to Rob to find out just when this one was built. (Photos will be posted latter)

Sorry I didn't have the buttons on when I took the picture in haste, months ago. One on left is, I am told, one of only 15, very early production run, with numbers stamped on catchcup. The two in middle are Purpleheart. One on right, third from left, was my first REO. It was main "swimmer" and in a lot of searing Texas sunlight for many months. Both of the Purplehearts have chips on their shoulders. They came that way. Does Feisty care?? Heck no.
