Ok... I got this thing running like a freight train!!! I took out the u shaped wick and ran a single thicker mesh wick, i played around with the included 36awg kanthal but on such a thick wick 3 wraps was 3.8ohm lol tried 2 wraps and was 2.6, back to my 32awg and 3 wraps is giving me a warm 1.5ohm ... Hope this is safe on the mechanical mod bolt with high drain bats.

Tons of vapor and great flavor, i got tired of bobas but love it again, really getting that honey graham flavor, and using stainless mesh is such a cleaner taste im not going back to silica.

I bent the wick over right above air inlet hole and is right inbetween connection posts. Best part is i plugged the second hole and can now fill it in that hole right from the bottle.

Best vape accessory ive bought yet.

Single stainless 400 mesh wick, curved to get close as possible to posts, small section of an o-ring to plug second hole, i just changed flavors and cleaning/refilling was a breeze..... pull old juice with syringe, a couple hot water injections, shake, drain, refill, plug hole.

I just received the v3 in the mail yesterday. Set it up with the provided wick and wire and i did about 5 wraps. When I checked the ohms on my provari it came out to be 5.1. I unwrapped one of the coils and that brought it down to 3.7 ohms. Much better but still lacking in vapor production. I also notice that there are 3 holes in the v3, I assume the third is a filling hole. A little disappointed in the lack of vapor and the airy draw, but I'm going to try and get some ss mesh and see how that works out. Totally a great feeling knowing you made your own coils though! hahhah

Same thing here! Got my v3 and with thethree holes I was wondering if I set it up right the first time. I did 4 wraps of the coil and got 4.7 ohms. I cranked it up to 5.5 v, soaked the wick then burned it a bit before filling the tank. When I filled the tank (through the 3rd hole-nice option) I took several drags and almost fell over with the throat hit. Not much vapor at all but great flavor and kick me in the teeth throat hit. My draw is tight on mine so I need to get more air through it I would assume. Before I do something like drilling the upper tank portion or seeing if I can get the pin in the 510 connector out a little more, is there any other suggestions? So far I'm unimpressed but then again I'm a newbie to rebuildables so what do I know?-not much! Got some 400 SS mesh coming soon so i'll give that a go. Also need to get hold of some 32 kanthal.

I saw a crank video last night on U tube that looked like the v3 with the slimmer looking inserts and the guy on the video was showing his with what looked to me to have a raised center post (for the air) close to the wick. It wasn't mesh sticking out because he had it set up with rope wick. Hmmmm?

Any one out there see that video?

I would imagine that his would give him much more vapor since the air hole through the post looked so close to the wick.

Any thoughts?

Hey guys, trust me i couldnt get much vapor either untill i slapped a mesh wick in there and now its a beast. no tipping, no glowing coil legs, the stainless mesh will suck the juice up using a capilary effect,i can hold the button down for 20+ seconds and it just keeps wicking juice like crazy.

Read back through the thread, i had all the same problems you guys are having, mesh wick will make a night and day difference!

I have one of the originals. I use 3 wraps, double wick (4 tails) and it vapes like a freight train on my Provari. I love this thing and it sooo easy to rebuild ;)

what kind of ohm reading are you getting with 3 wraps on the double wick?

I have some 3mm wick from COV in mine and its a little thicker than the stock stuff but may have to try doubling it to see where I'll be at with 3 coils. I'm anxious to try the SS mesh soon!!

When u get the mesh cut the length so it will reach bottom of the tank and a hair above posts, i used about an inch width maybee a little less.
roll it as tight as u can then roll it firmly inside a dollar or peice of paper like a stogie ;)

Take it out of the paper and burn the end that will be coiled till its red hot, this will oxidize the wick n keep coil from shorting out on it. burn it a few good times, add a drop of juice on the oxidized end and burn it off to prime it and further protect it from shorting coil.

instal, bend wick towards posts without kinking it. coil it tight with smallest amount of wire between posts and wick, prime coil with a drop of juice, fill tank and vape yourself silly

is that a piece of o-ring you cut to plug the second hole? I've got an assortment of o-rings that may work for mine.
