100% tobacco only vaper for 2 years. Hangsen tobaccos are good and easy to mix, it's all I've vaped for a long time. Each flavor is complete as is, just pick a percentage. They use a natural extraction process. See my hangsen blog!

Rayon for the win!

Thanks, I just looked at that Blog. I've been hearing a lot about HS RY1 and Indian. I might try these first.

Keep me posted on how it compares against some of the NETs we vape, Chinook. Please. :)

I've been on a rayon roll! Two or three wickings and no breakin whatsoever; first class to Flavor Town with no layovers.

I also finally got the plume veil working wonderfully; 3rd try was the charm. I wanted .7 ohm dual 28ga contact coils, but they ended up closer to .9 (I'm bad at counting wraps and/or my legs are quite long).

Anyway, it rocks on the mech and it's so airy that 18mg isn't the slightest bit harsh, nor warm and it heats up quickly to boot. It's still a messy little jerk, but it's definitely worth it when stationary.

Check out the Hobo if you can readeuler. No muss, no fuss and Flavor Town! Easy build with posi t-post like the Plume but holds so much more juice. Nice clouds to boot. Awesome atty!

I've been looking at the Hobo. The problem is that the vape budget certainly isn't large enough for any authentics right now, and I've heard the clones out now can be pretty hit-or-miss when it comes to machining and usability. I've been keeping an eye on whether any clones are consistently performing, though.

That stupid hobo thread also makes me want a SMPL pretty badly. Ah, vaping, my first hobby that's ever required money...

Imo to hey anything out of a hobo you've gotta run it under 0.5ohms, just fyi. I think it's gonna pop between 0.2 - 0.3ohm Yaya a tiny bit lower than I like but I think it's got the flow to still have great flavor that low . . .I'll Lyk what I think layer, I have done moddin' to do before I get to a new build on that little guy. If I like it I'll probably bf it. That's bottom fed, btw..

Even though I allowed 2 boxes of Koh Gen Do talk me out of trying Rayon (the BEST vaping experience to date) for several months
I am THANKFUL that my addiction to all things VAPE kicked in and got me to try it!!!

** Part of my dilemma was, "What will I do with all this Koh Gen Do?"
A little voice came into my head and said..."Perhaps you can use it on your face, that is what it was intended for".....WOW imagine that!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

So I recently received my group buy Plume Veil clone. Cleaned it up (wasn't bad) and put a user-friendly dual coil setup in it consisting of 8/7 wraps of 30g Kanthal on a 5/64" mandrel. Worked out to be 1 ohm. After double checking everything and a quick dry burn, I wicked the coils w/rayon (what else?), wet them down w/some DIY caramel/eggnog (6mg nicotine, 25/75 PG/VG), and let 'er rip. All I can say is it makes a LOT of vapor, even at just 15 watts! You see the videos and all but until you experience it for yourself there's no real point of reference that conveys the experience. And for me 6mg is a bit too much for this volume of vapor. Flavor isn't great but that could be due to the juice- it's only steeped for 2 weeks and I went easy on the ratio of flavoring to base. I plan to make some more e liquid at 3mg and give that a try to see what I want to do going forward w/my DIY juices

ETA Just looked at the Steam Engine site and it indicates the resistance I getting for my coils is wrong. So I'll stop using it until I sort this out.

ETA2 Ended up the mandrel was 1/16". Still not in exact agreement w/the SE calculator but close enough that I feel okay using it as-is.
Don't feel so bad if your PV disappoints. I was suckered in to buying one and it was meh at best. Flavor is ok. It does make clouds but at 6nic it was like vaping razor blades on exhale.

Only way I could get it to not be harsh was to load up pure unflavored 0 nic VG and then it really shined. I vape not to smoke so the cloud spewing is only fun for so long.

I recently traded it for an older kayfun and an super happy with it. My kf is close to the magma flavor/vapor wise. I like the tank so I don't have to fiddle with dripping while driving although my magma can make the 30-40 commute each way on a well full.

Still been playing with my Lemo and nickel builds, and they're working well. Normally with a tank, I'd avoid anything high VG, but rayon in this one is working so well I'm actually preferring high VG juices. Right now it's loaded up with 75% VG, and wicking fine.

I have noticed that it pays to have the wick snug, but not tight, when going high VG. I'm using a little less rayon than I normally would, but still enough that wicking those flimsy 30 gauge nickel coils is a somewhat delicate job.

Only issue is my mod reading ohms a bit low, which seems to happen with all coils, nickel or otherwise. I have a 2.4mm ID coil, 11 wraps 30 gauge nickel, which should come out to 0.21-0.22 ohms. First time I screwed the atty in, and it did a new coil check, it read 0.22 ohms - spot on. Once I let the mod and atty sit for a while, it'll adjust its reading down to 0.18-0.19 ohms. Not a huge deal, just have to set temp protection a little lower, but it bugs me.

BOOM!

My experience with Ni200 is that because it's so soft, the post screws tend to loosen a bit after I use a new coil for a few minutes(does this on every RDA I have tried Ni200 with).

This has led to my resistance changing after a few minutes every time I build a new coil. Once I go back in and tighten a little more it stops and doesn't come back until the next coil.

Just bringing this up because it could be your issue as well, worth a try anyways.

I centered my build exactly like yours but my air cutouts didn't line up centered when threaded down tight. They lined up say your coils are at 12,6 when threaded tight the air gaps are at 10 and 4 o'clock. . Does that make sense? Please tell me there a way to adjust that that I was too stupid to see last night.

There is no way to adjust it that I know of. Perhaps build it to fit the cutouts?

Guys, what the heck did I get myself into?
This Rayon is spreading like a plague...

I sent 2000 TIDI Rayon Balls to Ukraine, then 2000 more after that. And now they are asking for 5 times that amount. Medsupplier.com is backordering it. My last order took 20 days to ship. They are saying that the Manufacturer can't keep up with the demand.

And this is all because of JeremyR :toast: Sorry, I meant: Jesus

I don`t get it, DNA 40 Temperature Limiting functions independent to resistance.

Edit Sorry not very clearly stated.
