Sitting down, facing forward.
My drill press came in last Thursday and is pretty nice for an inexpensive bench-top. The cross slide vice came in today and needs a serious cleaning, some polishing and maybe filing to make it smooth and a nice coat of lube. My only regret, at the moment, is that I should have sprung for the 10 or 12 inch drill press. The vice will only work sitting on the bottom table. Maybe I can replace the support tube with a longer one....

I thought about getting a longer tube for mine too, I have seen them on ebay from time to time used and new, they call them column's. If you have a small machine shop near you they make make you one at a decent price. What brand cross slide did you get?

Just a public announcement:

If any of you, kayfun V4 owners, were considering purchasing an S-Kit (Subohm Kit) from Fast Teck SKU 2078204, Don't!!! It is NOT a Subohm kit. It has 2.12mm bore, the bottom of it is threaded M2.5 - 0.4mm for the Airflow adjustment screw and it's insulator is made out of Delrin at best, if not plastic. But it is only $1.46

Just use the rayon as long as you can and then replace everything or just replace the rayon without dry firing it.

That's what I am currently doing but I do have the free time. Others? Not so much so that's kind of disappointing for them I imagine.

Continuous current is what I'd recommend researching and IIRC the VTC5 is a 35A continuous current battery.

The continuous discharge rate for a Sony VTC5 is 30A. 60A pulse I believe.

I like pix so I am posting these. Just got my Derringer. Awesome little flavor dripper. For anyone new to the thread I ust wanted to show how well rayon actually wicks. Jeremy has posted some before but here's mine.

This is vaped dry without a dry hit. I probably could have gone even further but I wasn't getting much flavor out of it and that tell tale sign let me know that a dry hit was sure to come.

And here it is after a redrip.

Looks like I need to reposition one of my coils back over to the center air hole.

It still amazes me how dry the wick looks before the coil drys out... Coil just sucks it dry. And it wicks so efficiently.

Good to see you jax! I've been using the 28g for simplicity lately. Plume viel as my backup, the CLT is good too, doesnt leak as much, but I need to switch it to a single coil or go 34g, as 24w is pretty weak for a dual coil as I'm limited to 1.3 ohm.

Yup, I too am still amazed. It's quite incredible to me actually.

Told you those damn Plumes leak. PITA. I've stopped using mine actually.

Oh and just for reference, my build above is 24g, 4/5 wrap, 2mm mandrel ohming out to .22 and still not dry hit with as dry as those wicks look. Superior wicking material indeed.

Oh and the rsst- well, looks good, quality is good, but really a Genny is just too backwards for me and it's not gonna happen. Tried a couple builds but other things just work so much better.

Thanks again for the care package of atties and wire.

Ha! My thoughts pretty much exactly. Gennies are just not for me.

You are more than welcome my friend.

Speaking of gennies, I was using my AGI 2n1 as a dripper with a horizontal coil. Pulled the screws out of the deck and put the wick tips down the holes into the tank. It works.
That's what I often do w/my Kraken- single horizontal coil w/both tails down into the tank. Leaves one hole for refilling. Kind of a pain to wick because of where the coil has to be vs. where one of the wick holes is located on the deck, but it's not too bad. I've not used anything except rayon in it, I've read mesh or rope is more commonly used. But I love the flavor I get from it! I'd get a different Genesis type atty but don't rightly know which one would be "best".

I had to make a new Kayfun V4 SubOhm pin, all the drilled ones broke.

It's hard to do...you should see how big of a pain in the AZ it is, all these boron feeder guys are drilling screws to use as pos pins to feed juice thru, it's crazy, that one looks great that's a huge hole for that screw....

You notice a big difference?

I don't have a device that I can pulse a short on for mesh. Rayon wick works so well for me that I won't even try.

Not really, to be honest with you. I think it was a waste of time. But I had to try it anyways.

Maybe the time has come for me to get my first "Bottom Feeder"

What do you think?

I know nothing about them and never had one. I've never even seen one other then on your and Rossum's pictures.
