jimmy not sure if this picture will answer your question, but that slot is in fact almost identical to the arc of the circumference of a quarter

Yeah, I had that picture in my head actually... must have seen it somewhere... but I didn't know they accepted a quarter. That's super smart and an awesome use of a coin slot... which I now see AMD spelled out but I missed it earlier.

Those actually look cut too!

Except for that annoying Welcome screen: "USA"

I've got a question for you Mr. BNEAT:
I'm still trying to clone Vapor Flask in my garage. Using my Lathe, I made two brass battery covers threaded M19 - 1.0mm. Came out pretty good. Now I need to make a slot cut for flat head screw driver or quarter. I don't want to use a hacksaw or a Dremel. I want it to look nice. What is the name of the Horizontal Milling machine blade? You know, the one that looks like a circular saw disk blade only smaller and made out of HHS. It is not a horizontal end mill, is it?

Try keyway or keyseat or woodruff cutter
for example 4375 : Keyseat Cutter - Keyseat Cutters I searched for 1" dia and 0.0781 they have some. These are carbide so probably not what you want but it's a start.

What he said^

Take a look on page 42

YES!!! product number 69101 is exactly what I need! Thank you! I knew just who to ask :toast:

1 x 5/64 Narrow Width KSC

EDIT: On the second thought, I think $83.54 is too much for me. I'm going to make one out of one of my existing End mills. Too bad, it will only have four teeth, because my End mills are four fluted. I'm going to go easy on cutting. But it is just a brass. Right? Or, better yet, I'll get a 1" Reamer and grind it. I usually do that by placing it between two centers (right one is a life center) on my lathe and bolt a small grinder on the deck instead of the tool post. And, of course, I don't know the name of the machine (in English) that I'm trying to simulate here. But you know what I mean.

Right now I'm making a third floor in my 22" tool box out of 1.2" flat piece of Polycarbonate to house 70 Atomizers. It's going to have 70 Brass inserts threaded 510 (M7.0 - 0.5mm) on the inside and M9.0 - 1.25mm on the outside. And it is taking me forever to turn those little inserts. Today I made only 15 of them. I thought at first that I would just press fit them in, but Polycarbonate may crack. I tried heating them up while pressing, but they don't seem to go in strait. So I decided to use snug threading method instead. I, of course could have made those inserts out of Stainless Steel, but I think it would be an "Overkill" for this project. Besides, the brass is so much easier to work with.

Work in progress:

Don't laugh, but I used my Sawzall to cut 1.2" Polycarbonate plate, only I cut it between two hardened steel rulers (clamped with vise-grips) and it came out pretty good.

I forgot to ad: It will have a clear Acrylic dome cover over it. It will end up looking like a clear box inside the tool box.

All you crazy machining people.

Holla at me when my expertise on screwdrivers is needed. In the mean time I'll be twiddling my thumb in the corner. You know, just waiting.

I hear ya, i used a drill to open up airflow in my FT kfl3 and ended up with more holes in my hands then the atty lol.

No pictures today but ill share some recent builds.
I got a 6 wrap parallel 32g nichrome80, 1.98mm ID, i think it hit right above 1ohm, i got the tails thinned down around 90%, with the tails sitting on deck touching the chimney but not blocking juice channels(i have never mastered kayfun wicking...). Seems to be wicking just fine on my mech.

Then we got some dual 6wrap twisted ribbon, 1.98mmID, in the .7-.8ohm range(i forget again lol). In the Big Dripper clone, single tails thinned down 90%. Working great.

3rd and final for now is a single mundys magic wire(lite) coil. I say lite because the second step where you reverse twist 3 strands together, i only used two. Single tail thinned 90% and yes i can't remember the resistance on this one neither(but i do know i was shooting for around .6-.8 so its close to that range). But on the 2wind rda, with bottom and side wide open around 5v its tasting pretty good.
So lets see 2 days off work, 3 working coils/wicks. That's better than my normal speed of 1 or less a day lol. I normal only have one working atty at a time lol, this is great... Except i didnt have time to make new batches of my adv juices...

CNC, of course is out of my budget. But here is something I've been drooling over here. This one is only $2,199.00 at Bolton Hardware.

Rut-Row - Don't ya just hate it when they put something you really want on the market at a price that is right at the "Pain Threshold" but with enough self-justification is doable.

I am sitting here thinking of all the stuff I could do with a machine like that. My father owned a small specialty machine shop when I was a kid and having access to just about any type of mill, lathe, press, bending and grinding machine my little heart could desire now finds itself trying to do all that with a rat-tail file and a hand drill..

Those snapped drillbits feel nice in your thumb don't they? Yup, got t-shirt etc...

In other news I'm a bit of a .... and pushed the button on the Kayfun V4. I know, way too expensive. But I did avoid 25,000 cigarettes so far, so it's all relative.

I thought I was the only one that use 3 to 4 bit per air hole. I hate drilling SS I have almost spent more on drill bits than on atties.
