Anyone know of a B&M storefront in the area that sells kanthal wire and silica wick?

I bought my first rba last week and it was pretty poorly put together and when I tried to adjust it te wire and wick fell apart.

Have plenty of clearomizers to keep me occupied for now but I have a few days off and messing around with rebuilding could be a fun project.

So far the only local vendors I have seen with kanthal and silica are the local online vendors. ....-Out carries wire I was told, but wicks they carry only ceramic. Hi-Tec said they have it on order but will be a couple weeks before the shipment gets to them. Zikwid only carries pre-built wicks. Been wanting to rebuild my pro-tank, Evod, and T3 heads so I'm feeling ya

Haven't really read up on ceramic wicks. They are more practical in the case of rba/RDAs, but with how small the wicks need to be on t3/protank/evod heads, not to practical for my purposes. But Desert Vapes, Kidney Puncher, and think one other local online vendor were the only ones I seen with both wire and wick for DIY rebuilding available.

From what I hear, ceramic wicks are awesome but you have to torch the bejeezus out of them before use. I have a .... Out trip in my future pretty soon, if they have ceramic wick I'll pick some up.

Craig at Kidney Puncher has great rebuildable supplies - including kanthal ribbon which I'm really impressed with.

I have convinced Chris at Vapor Vortex to carry RBA supplies, they have 32 and 34 gauge kanthal as well as 2mm silica and ss mesh as of right now, and he should be getting more stuff soon. Craig at Kidney Puncher has (my opinion) the best selection in stock, and he brings most of it to the VIP and West Valley meets (I haven't been to any other vape meets in the area so I don't know if he even shows to any others).

Ended up making the trek all the way over to Vapor Vortex today.

Good to stop into another shop in the valley.

Tried a bunch of really awful juice flavors (cheeseburger, roasted chicken and bacon)

They do in fact have some suplies for RBAs which was awesome.

Chris ended up selling me a pre coiled wire and wick for another dripper he had which is awesome since I kind of want to take one of their classes on rebuilding before I dive into the frustration of a first time rebuild.

Great store and cool folks working in there.

Ended up buying a bottle of Hey Jude juice (tastes like the dum dum lollipops from the bank)

Swung by .... out afterwords and bought some Lucy in the Sky (Kind of a beatles themed juice day) and some Red Dude (Code Red Mountain Dew) which ended up being THE best soda vape ever (tongue tingling carbonation feel and all)

Then to make the trip full circle we stopped in at HiTec who confirmed they will soon have RBA supplies. Ended up grabbing a mini Vivi Nova from them because I can't not buy something when I go into a store and out of fear that my bank account might be severely allergic to having money in it.

All and all a good day of swinging thru most of the vape stores with my wife.

Missed out on going to Vape Escape but I also bought a new Innokin SVD this morning online and I don't want my wife thinking that I have a serious problem... which I might...

Update... The premade coil and wick already busted upon installation. Bummer. Should have got wire and wick...

So much awesome. I did a whirlwind trip to a few vape shops in a day a couple weeks back when I had a Friday off, what a great way to spend a day. Pity you're not still on this side of town, I could spare a coupla feet of wick and wire for the cause.

The wife and I are off tomorrow as well if that works for you. Not sure what we're up to but I'm pretty sure I blew thru our savings today.
I just bought a jeep so every drive is an adventure if you'd be down to meet up tomorrow.
PM me your thoughts.
If not I think my Terminator drip tank thing comes into the mail today so that might quench my dripping needs for a few hours or so.

I will most likely go the ebay route once I get settled in but in my vaping infancy I'm enjoying checking out the B&M's and meeting people in the community.

Also helping local business is always a plus.

However -

I did order something from gotvapes.net that has me even more motivated to rebuild and if anyone is looking for a dripper or is curious about a dripper/tank hybrid and has $12 (shipped) that wants to be spent I have to reccomend

NEW SMOKtech Terminator TT Rebuildable Atomizer With Tank Feed [gv-SMOKtechTermintaor-2.2ohm] - $9.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

So far I haven't used the tank aspect of it but its pretty sweet and vapes like I had hoped a dripper would.

Daniel from gotvapes started a thread with video about it the other day and it was cheap enough for me to buy it out of curiosity.

Loving it.

Really really great vape. Hoping if I ever do use the tank portion of it I will be even more impressed.

Anyway here is the ECF thread on it too.

I put Evod coils in my Pro Tank and it tightens up the airy draw a bit...
Vast improvement over the original Pro Tank draw.
Rebuild with cotton balls and 32 Kanthal wire, best vape ever!
