I'll have to double check the size of my bit then. I thought it was odd that I couldn't get it through since everyone else here is having no trouble. I'm using a bit from a small set that cost like $3.00. I'll have to go to the hardware store and compare what I have to another 3/32.

You're giving me a complex and making me think mine is too small.

I had a chance earlier today to do a dry burn on my Nuppin' w/ 2mm and my Mephisto w/ 3mm. Not the best video's but its something and will give an idea as to how it is done. It was hard to do as I don't have anything to hold my phone while doing this so it is a little jumpy... Sorry for that and the audio so you might just want to turn it down... I had just come inside from shoveling snow and it was about -6°F outside while I was shoveling...

Great (insert sarcasm here). Another wicking material I must try. Kaching$$$$! vaping has suction on my wallet as of late.

Who is getting the kick backs for all of this advertising?

Thanks for the video MuzikHead. I was having trouble picturing how this worked. Do dry hits taste nasty like cotton does?

Yep, dry hits taste nasty like anything else would; but however, RxW does not burn though. A quick squonk, and it's back to working like it's supposed to.

I have a problem with that video Muzichead.
You didn't show us you vaping afterwards. I thought that was a pre-requisite for vaping vids ;)

Both orders I've gotten from rbasupplies came with a roll of Smarties.
Give the Smarties to the wife and all will be good :)

The dry hit you will get from RxW doesn't compare to any other wicking. I don't think it is that bad at all. The thing about RxW is it will let you know when you need to squonk unlike other wicking media. As previously mentioned, if you get a dry hit, just squonk it and its good to go. With every other wicking media you have to change it out...not RxW...

Forgot to post this video last night... This is squonking after the dry burns....

CelluCotton is a more forgiving than KGD; CVS Pharmacy Cotton and etc. I've gotten many dry hits from CC, and I just squonk to saturate the coil. Flavor and taste returns immediately.

Wish I knew why, but can't figure it out. Built a new coil (1/16; RxW 2mm) Friday morning at 6am. Something just isn't right. As far as RxW goes... I feel the #50 drill bit (next size up from 1/16) gave better flavor and taste. I'm just not getting the taste from the RxW with this particular juice as I did from CelluCotton on a 5/64 bit.

Do keep in mind if you don't have your coils fine tuned to the atty you are using, you will get varying results. Make sure the distance, center post to air flow, is the same on both sides as well as coil height in relation to the air flow. I have found that if either is off by just 1mm the vape is completely different and not enjoyable... On 99% of my builds the coils are as close to the air flow as possible and lined up to the center line of the coil. This gives me my most optimal results...

Different juice like different builds and my sweet spot might not be yours. Have you tried both spaced and tight coils with 2mm.

Also as far as # bits go, a #50 is 3 sizes but from 1/16, I use 1/16 or number #51 bit, not sure but the .003 of an inch larger to the #50 might make a difference.

Awww, that's right. #50 is 3 sizes up. I have a #51 as well. May try it. The 1/16 isn't cutting it. Kind of afraid to mess with it though (it'll break in half). Hoping the flavor and taste eventually comes to life. I tried space, but notice the touching coil fires better over time.

Oh yeah! it all boils down the juice you use. Hands down; without a doubt... the juice dictates the vape experience. Don't know if coil killing juice are even worth messing with.

Yeah touching are more efficient at heat production, I like the added surface area of spaced and the fact that juice gets to the entire wick without having to really wick. I keep trying both and just like spaced better on 2mm.

I also run 3mm with a #36 or #38 bit (haven't been able to find #37 to try) and find the difference between spaced and touching not really noticeable with 3mm, but as with most things vape related YMMV

I hope this is relevant to your post. I have found that RXW requires a little time to "brake in" for lack of a better term. I find that firing the Reo with the atomizer cap off and blowing on it, almost to a dry burn, seems to help and speed up the process.

I always take the cap off when dry burning, and try to do it in a cold area so it'll cool down faster. I'll keep working with it and give it more time.

Just did my 3/32 build with readyxwick - the piece I used was from a different build that I scrapped so the RxW was a little loose compared to fresh out of the package. I recut the 45 to clean it up and allow it go through the 3/32 coil. It was a tight coil, hard to get the drill bit in and out. I was able to screw in the wick, most of it went though with the 45 cut, the rest passed through the coil as if a screw was going through threads, slightly separating each wrap of the coil before passing completely through. the coil is still tight and burns from the inside out as a microcoil should.

I juiced it up, took a drag and ooohhhh how I love RxW :) CLEAN flavor on every hit. I'll shoot pics of the build and post them later... my phone is currently charging in another room :)
