Also available at Michael's (where I got mine) and maybe even Hobby Lobby stores.

I will be watching your post to see what happens. I have 3000' of all natural cotton yarn and a whole bag of organic cotton balls maybe we can make shirts....lol

Yup....I've got tons of cotton yarn. Still using this until I get my Reo; then I'll venture into testing cotton against bamboo and RxW.

Is that artistic thing just for twisting wire together?

It is actually a tool to make the rings for chain mail jewelry. But since it starts with coiling the wire it works for us.

Got my shipment today, in my haste to order I screwed up and got 5ft of 3mm instead of 2mm. Trying to decide if I dump it for a loss in the classies or keep it for a rainy day.

I don't think it''ll go at a loss Beastieboy....this stuff is good! I just ordered 5ft. each of the 3mm and the 2mm! I have four of my woods sporting them , two of each...can't decide which size I like better!

So, what size coils are you running for each size? I think I read that a coil where 1.5 mm (or ~1/16" drill bit) works for the 2mm but don't think I've seen anything on the 3mm.

oh boy... I tried to remember as i was doing each one...:?: tho i didn't use a drill bit with any of them..just slipped a tiny hex screw inside and wrapped free-hand only a little snugly like i used to do with the silica. I think they were mostly in the 1.01 to 1.3 area. I DO know that the taste is very clean and sharp and it takes a lotta squonking initially to soak these things! But I was vaping away within a minute of fully saturating them.

AND as of now, i prefer the 3mm cuz they're so easy to wrap and I'm lazy!

Depends on if you are wrapping and then inserting the wick or if you are wrapping on the wick with the mandrel inserted in the wick.

For wrapping with the mandrel inserted I use 1mm pin in the 2mm wick and 1/16 in the 3mm.

If you're going to screw the wick in an already wrapped coil 2mm in 1.5 mm or 1/16 and 3mm in 5/64 or 3/32 is what I've done

Exact same thing happened to me, F-B. And I would have SWORN that I ordered it correctly. Makes me wonder a little.....
I was (I thought) very, very careful. Mine's not here yet, but I'm gonna try it when I get it. Who knows? Might be a blessing in disguise. I would not have tried it otherwise. We'll see.

For the 3mm RxW I used a 16g needle as my form

I'll still looking for an easier way to screw it into the coil. Last night I destroyed a piece trying to thread it through. I'm currently using a piece that I built the coil around. I'm wondering if I could do something like dip the end in nail polish, or something like that that would help it harden to a point, thus making it easier to get through the coil. After getting through the coil I could clip that piece off.

Anyone tried anything like that?
