Yeah, I'm crazy like that -- with too much disposable income. 
Less than two months in I have a five drawer cabinet for my stuff, and includes two Reos, two Provari, and a hana modz v3. It's insane, but I love it! With all the help that's available at ECF, it's pretty easy to get up to speed.

As you know, Jan, it's pretty stiff...uhoh gotta be very careful here.... but I just wrap it freehand and it's delicious! Just wrap that ole thing like it was silica!
It's better stiff... Gives more flavor for you? More consistency? Something you were lacking with that wet noodle silica?

Thanks. Once I receive my Reo + RM2 I was going to try a larger diameter coil to see if it helped with flavor. Does this improve flavor or make any difference or is is simply to allow better wicking?
Currently on my PT2s, I can wrap around 5/64 bit, but it's to large to fit inside the head support (deck, or whatever that is) so it's a PITA to get is solidly in there. Because of this, I've been using 1/16 bit ....just easier.
I really suck at non cotton wicking lol. I went through 3" ruining some 3mm wick. It's working good now in the Origen. Flavor is actually pretty good coming from cotton. I'm still going to stick to cotton in rda's just tryin to get used to it for my rose v2 that comes in tomorrow! So it makes it easier threading into a microcoil if you twist correct?
Yes if you twist the wrong way the wraps will want to push it back at you instead of pulling it through. Look at the wraps and thing about turning a bolt into a nut.
Sounds good. I'll experiment with that this weekend. Here is my build right now on my Origen.
I still say that slipping a paperclip or fat needle thru the 2mm xc and just direct hand wrap is far easier than trying to slip in the xc after the coil is made. Dealing with angle cut wick, wetting, theading thru, tape etc. seems such an uneeded hassle.I've been using xc for the better part of a year and have had no issues with coil/wick performance using this method. I can cut 1/3" of 2mm xc, slip in a small hex key that I use from my Hornet and just wrap nice tight coils on it in minutes!!! I do a nice tight 8 wrap of 29 g wire and comes out to a sweet 1.0 ohm setup. Just about the same as wrapping the same around a 1/16" drill bit. Plus when you wrap directly on the xc it creates a little grip and wraps very easily. I leave very very small space between wraps so the xc is actually showing a little between wraps. It's my believe that the juice gets in these little spaces and stays on the wick/coil longer and produces great flavor and vape clouds! Just my 2 cents!

And I'll add mine, Rudy. As I agree with you. It's sorta like the old days of wrapping the coil directly around the silica. Except this xc is a million times better! I am loving the full bodied flavor I get from all my various juices...and DON'T have to worry about forgetting to squonk in time and setting the cotton on fire!!

When I try it using the 2mm I think I'm going to wrap tightly around a 1mm mandrel. I have 2ft of the 2mm. So I got a lot for experimenting. I want to get a reo again when the newer designed ones come out so I can put a kick in it with a cyclone!
So I got my order of 2mm a few days ago and promptly whipped up a coil with it. I am using some 27g that super_X sent me. Wrapped 27g 8 wrap 1/16" dia .85Ω coil and it wasn't all that hard to twist the ceramic into it. I was vaping an old school 28g 4/5 wrap 1/16" dia .9Ω coil w/ 2 wicks in it for about 2 weeks and vaped very well. The thing I noticed yesterday is it didn't like the 75/25 mix I was running in it very much. Quite a few dry hits!! Once I put a 50/50 mix back in it, it has been vaping much better... I am going to vape this setup for a while and see how it goes. I do think at some point I will wind up going back to the old school coils because I feel they wick much better. I still need to get some 3mm to test out, but forgot to order it this last time. I will order some at the end of the week to try out next week though. Anyone else having the same wicking experience I've had?
With the xc thicker juice (high VG) wicks and vapes much better than high PG thin juice. Sticks on the wick & coil better. IMO.
I am getting the opposite with a single wick in a micro coil though. It wicked fine with a doubled up piece of wicking in the old school coil.
The only drawback is once you build a coil/wick and mount you have nothing to fiddle with! I have had my present setup on my woody for a month now. I dry burn every couple of days and the setup looks like it did a month ago!
I don't miss replacing my burnt cotton wicks at all! Escpecially when I'm driving!
Now to satisfy my fiddle urges I get out the Howards and polish my woody!
Here is a picture of a month old coil/wick!
12 wraps of 28g 1.2 ohms on my woody as I believe the woodies hit harder than metal mechanical.
I do 8 wraps of 29g on my metal and get about 1.0 ohms and performs about the same.
