Thanks for your good answer to my question, Mac.
yep.. I'm actually using silca loops for the P2 for some up to filler, and some to base for double access.
The Achilles I use the CC and Pima slivers one tail each down to drip wells.
but will try the RxW as soon as can.
My favorite drippers are Prometey2 and Achilles from Ti modders group Ukraine... with single coil, under coil elevated air post which gets its air from the side of the base. I like the flavor best and enough vapor..
Because the air post is elevated about 4mm from the base it means the wick goes down 4-5mm to the base and has to wick well especially if you are using mid range sub ohms. .5 (up to 1 ohms)
Using Pima Sliver or CC as far as I know fastest wickers

I used to loop either silica or RW and hand wind the kanthal around but I have found that 3mm RW flows better (when you run sub ohm) if you thread the single wick through the coil so I am going to a single wick (no loops) on my heron and Prometey 2. I think this is because hand winding binds down that inner channel that can be seen in the 3 mm RW. Looks like a garden hose when I look at my REO 3mm RW builds.

great info - thanks pt
So I'd guess 7/64" micro for the 3mm?
Overall the 3mm wicks best apparently as you are using it in the Reo with small atomizers? (unless you have an LP Reo for wider RDA's)
I'm about to order some of this.. I read a lot of the posts, but there are too many to read all.
Will the readyxwick stop the harshness I seem to get after only a day of kgd use? I seem to re-wick daily to keep the vape super smooth. I only rock 6mg and below, but the harshness reminds me of vaping higher nic once I've gone a day or so of vaping the same wick.
I got the wick size/thickness down, the harshness isn't from burning or dry hits, definitely not choked on the coil. I've also used a ton of rayon and overall, I like it fine. The kgd performs superbly, it just gets a bit peppery after about a day. It's no real trouble to re-wick, but if readyxwick is as clean and worry free as it sounds, it should solve the problem anyway I'm hoping.Ideally that should not be happening... i get that too occasionally and one of the main reasons is too much cotton kgd in the coil being compressed and not wicking freely enough causing burnt taste.
Different types of cotton ie. angel hair, pima sliver, will wick faster and cellucotton rayon can be used thicker than cotton and will wick better anyway.
If I let mine go it will get a funky aftertaste after about a week, Every 2 to 3 days I just rinse the coil and wick with water and fire for 5 seconds over and over until dry. Cleans up nice. I've got coil and wick combo's that are going on 4 months old.

Exactly what I've found best as well ......
At first I was dry burning then rinsing but that left a foul taste for quite a while afterwards.
Now I just rinse and pulse until dry ..... I don't even take the atty off the REO unless its a woodvil. With the grands I just hold the atty under the water at a 96.5 degree angle![]()
