Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to...Suffering!
nicotine dependance is only a concern when used in conjunctionStatistics, FDA, regulations.
Vaping is under attack, so far it tries to position itself as a preferred smoking cessation tool. Growing number of vapers who never smoked changes landscape, gives FDA reason to classify vaping as a new way to get into nicotine dependence.
Anyways what's all the fuss about it,why on earth does it matter to anyone?
OMG!! PREACH IT!!Fear and hate always lead to.......failure.
Which is why fear-based activism tends to accumulate very negative type of people who got that way because, well, they have failed a lot......and they have failed a lot because they don't grasp the relationship between their own psychology and the end result of their endeavors, which is failure.
It's a viscious circle. There is a distinct profile in the "psychology of failure" though. Pretty easy to spot.
but yes, it is interesting how many of those vapers in the lounge you were in probably claim they are libertarians, want their "freedoms" but are not willing to allow you, or other vapers, non smokers, or even smokers....... their freedoms
Simplest answer I can think of is, because people.
I agree. For some, there's no better way to feel better about yourself than to find a reason to put somebody down. It's easy to do, doesn't cost any money, and makes the person feel superior to someone else. I think it's just basic human nature.
Having said that.....
It's a spectacular waste of time as it will never address the reason why someone needs to do that, just gives them a quick superiority hit, and seeing it makes me mad as hell. How the can someone have so much free time in their frakkin' life that they can do something as incredibly useless as putting down someone else for a lifestyle choice they made!?! What?!?
Soooo....valid reasons? Not sure if this is something anyone should consider to be valid but the reason, I think, is that it makes them feel better because they got to judge somebody as being less smart, less something, as they are. Powerful medicine to some.
Man it was so hard to quit smoking..Not me but some of the older crowd might would wonder why anyone would even take up nicotine?!?

Just me, healthier alternative to smoking or tobacco harm reduction doesn't say much about safety or long term effects.
If you're a non / never smoker why add risks that are easily avoidable,,,
Huum,..Forgive me but I'm trying to wrap my head around those comments without sounding condescending,..or doubtful about your sincerity,..but I have some valid questions I'm sure has popped into someone else's brain parts.I'm not sure that they DO take up nicotine! I know I don't...All my juices are Zero nic!
Again, I find that a lot of people who started vaping for reasons other than smoke cessation, don't use nicotine in their juice at all...
Valid point, though I would think this is a personal choice, just like the choice to drink Coca-Cola beverages (and a zillion other products we expose ourselves to on a daily basis) which also contain hazardous chemical substances but are perfectly legal and people chose to consume them everyday...
Ever try nicotine lozenges?I agree on that point Sirius. If I didn't want (need) the nic, I would not spend all the time, money and inconvenience on vaping. Hard candy is cheaper and a hell of a lot more convenient lol.
