So the holidays are coming up and I have had a longstanding personal commitment to myself. I have told all my friends and family that I will quit analogs for good on December 21, 2012. The way I figure it, if we are all make it, that's all the more reason to quit, and if we don't.. well.. it won't really matter then, haha.

Anyways.. I finally pulled the trigger and got myself the Lavatube starter kit with a tank. I also purchased the tobacco pure e-liquid from volcanoecigs.com. Right away I began to regret my choice in liquid, but we live and learn. Before I made my decision I saw the rebuildable atomizer options, especially with the tank. To kick analogs for good, I want a system which is designed for longevity. If I have to keep ordering cartomizers, I feel like I might give in and buy a pack. So with that, I'm looking for an affordable, rebuildable tank system which will work with my lavatube. That way I know I will have many months (years?) of use, especially when trying out different e-liquids. I'd rather invest in something that will last rather than have a pile of burned up cartomizers..

I honestly suggest the vivi nova. It looks great on the lavatube and the replacement heads are cheap. If you don't like the looks of that you could also do a vision clearomizer that is rebuildable. If the lavatube as the ego style connector you are good to go, if it has the 510 connection than you will need a 510 to ego adaptor for the vision clearomizer.

Yep vivi nova. Love mine. May want to get a metal tube for it like I did. No worry about juice leaving a taste in it. I also suggested to Provape that maybe a glass tube would be a good idea so if anybody likes that send them a message. Glass is no reactive and you unlike metal you can see through it. LOL
Here is a pic of mine on my provari in my sonic screwdriver mode. LOL

I use single coil cartos on higher volts all the time. I wouldn't say single coil will burn up easily at higher volts, you just have to be sure your using a higher ohm coil in my experience. I make my single coil cartos last up to 4 or 5 months on the LT at 3ohms. Just my experience, maybe you've heard differently but single coil high ohm works great for me at 5 volts.

Thats true, right now im using 1.8ohm head on my vivi, so if i goto the 2.5 i would be better for high volts?

Yes, the higher the ohms the higher voltage you can go. Think of it this way. Voltage x Voltage = Voltage squared. Voltage squared devided by ohms = watts. You want to be anywhere between 4 and 8 watts.

So the higher the ohms the higher the voltage you can go.

Please correct me if I am wrong, still kinda new to this stuff.

correctoooo bubs... dual coils allow for higher voltages with lower ohms. dual coils are confusing, basically, the 1. range of dual coils are pretty good universally up to 4.5 to 5 volts, and they work really well with lower voltage devices too. but they do not work well with variable voltage devices that were not programmed for dual coils, such as the LTube v.1 and the provari v.1

there is no better rebuildable for taste and vapor than a genesis style atomizer. they are more money than lets say a vivi but if you invest in a real one not a knock off brand it will last for a very long time. the DID is one to check out, and they are one of the only genesis atomizers that are readily available.

Kinda new to this.. why is the genesis style atomizer the best? Not quite understanding the ss wick thing?

Well, I'm no expert but here is what I know. There are a few different options as far as converting liquid to vapor, cartomizers and atomizers. I first got into vaping through a pro-smoke kit I got, what frustrated me was buying specific cartridges, which I had to order online. It ended up costing me almost as much as regular analogs. Even with using liquid, as I am now, atomizers and cartomizers eventually burn up. The rebuildable style gets around this by offering the option of rebuilding the part that burned up.

So Jeromeit, the best answer I have is that a stainless steel mesh is used to draw up the liquid. A wire is then wrapped around this wick, vaporizing and drawing up more liquid. When either the wick or wire is burned up, the failing part can be replaced at a significantly reduced cost. In theory, a good quality rebuildable could be used as long as replacement wick and wire is available. Personally, I'm a big DIY guy so the extra hassle means nothing to me in exchange for a solid system.
