What is recommended? To charge whenever it's convenient - even if only say 50% drained? Or to run them pretty low?
I know I read that with an EGO battery, frequent charging back to full, even if only partly drained, yields a LONGER LIFESPAN.

But I don't know if that also applies to an IMR kind of battery or not...
Anyone know?
And again - I'm not asking about "runtime" I'm asking if one tactic or the other will be better in keeping the battery working at it's best over months of use and recharges.

Doubt THIS matters, but I have these two types:
Panasonic NCR18650PD hybrid 2900mAh
and
AW IMR 18490 3.7v 1100 mah

Oh! - And another question...
I got a 4-slot charger. Since MOST of the time, I may be charging a single battery - should I "rotate" which slot I use?
I would think so. I guess I'm just a nutjob about maximizing the performance of any gear, once I go and pay money for it...

(except my cars. With cars, I'm like, "oh, you can't pamper a car with nice, clean oil all the time - it'll get "spoiled").

It depends on the chemistry of the battery. That I am sure of.

IMR's should not be run below somewhere around 3.3 or 3.4. (Please, someone clarify.) Many of the technology enhanced devices cut off when the battery gets to that point, so it isn't possible to run them all the way down to levels that shorten the lifespan of the battery. The rule has been in the past to charge them right when you feel the vape starts to fade out.

I have no clue what the rule is for the that panasonic designation. Some of the panasonics are called "hybrids", though they are mostly li-ion.

As far as I have read, Li-ions can be fully run down before recharging without detriment to the life of the battery. I'm sure your cell phone and laptop are li-ion's, so the same rules apply. Much older cel phones used different chemistry batteries and frequent charging and topping off was better for their life.

Only recently have I heard some say re-charge the ego's earlier and it doesn't make sense to me as they are li-ions.

A sound source for this type of info is at Battery University.

For the charger --- take a look at the instructions. I usually rotate the bays on my 2 bay, just because it seems logical and my charger doesn't require a specific sequence of bays used. Some 4 bay chargers are different and require a specific sequence.
