Ahoy all, guess I should have checked in earlier. I'm just making the last of the parts for the batch, tomorrow I will take the cut parts and start assembly. This is where I decide if a mod is good enough for me crew or should be scrapped. So far I have 6 Destroyer II's, 6 Cutlass II's and 7 Cruiser II's that might make it to the end. The new Cruisers are going to be a 3.7v, 6ml bottom feeder with catch cup, battery, and button.
I will use this batch to start to judge how many of what I start making in the future, and David (my youngest son) is still working on the new website and getting me a custom order system set up.
So far I think I've collected about 25 or 30 exotic panel wood to use for the sides of the mods with a few more arriving before it's all ready to go. Hope it works out right.
Think I will finish up this last box and stop for the day. It's possible I will have some pics for tomorrow, if I can get work done fast enough. Right now it's all just a pile of parts in cardboard boxes again, arrrrr

Hope you can get everything straightened out AK. A coworker of mine had a stroke on the job and bumped his head on a parts unloader. The company said it was his fault the whole thing happened and refused to help out with medical bills or lost wages. Its just crazy, blame him for being where he was supposed to be, on the job, when it occurred. Gotta love my particular big 3 automaker
Anyway, excited for porn, can't wait to see the Bolivian rosewood/cocobolo beauty taking shape! Have a great day everyone!

G'morning maties. Getting the drop on me Waho. These night shifts are killers. It just throws a monkey wrenchin the sleep patterns. I'll be hanging out in the crows nest and keeping a close eye out. Happy Hump Day crew.
I'm a second shifter my self. 1:30 pm to 10 pm unless there is overtime. Definitely makes getting anything done during the week nigh impossible.

Except for a couple of test mods, this is the first time I've made them for sale. They will essentially look like the Dest II, except they are taller to make room for the feed bottle inside.

Well, not nearly done I'm afraid, not in my mind anyway. Perhaps 4 more days of wood work. I have glued in the back panels, shaped the front lids and am just finishing up cutting out the box insides.
Next I cut the panels flush with the box, make push button holes and channels, make the recessed tank or catch cup hole in the top and then sand everything flush. Once that is done I sand some more to put the edge styles into them then do a final coarse, medium and fine sanding job followed by the first coat of sealer.
About 3 days of sealer/finish & resanding and they will be ready for electronics assembly. When that is done they get re-inspected and I sand out any defects I put in while assembling them, put a couple more coats of finish on and then... done!
I would say that if they are ready for sale by the weekend following this one I will be doing good

I was too tired & sore last night to figure out the bottom feed (since it's my 1st BF too) so I hoisted a dual coil mega carto with one of my favorite clear glass tip....it vapes like a steam engine 
& such a nice feel in my hand!

thanks! that leopard wood body definitely looks sweet....love it! I'm sure I'll love the bottom feed too once I master it, for now it's still heavenly with a carto I do have 1 new BF atty & a new 306 atty to play with but I just don't feel up to that adventure yet just wanna vape, rest & heal....still waiting to hear CT scan results (was done 3pm yesterday). Thanks for the well wishes & save some village raiding & looting til I'm well enough to join in, eh?
