Aye, I always did like that movie, but I noticed one technical goof for the first time, in the scene where he put on the liquid ventilation suit and was going into the water. Kinda blew the circuit breaker on my "I believe" button. Still, a great movie all in all.

Uh oh - what was it? I usually notice goofs and continuity errors.

This concerns me for a few reasons, but it seemed inevietable. First, when a huge company gets involved, everyone will want a piece of the pie; IRS FDA, etc. The huge companies will want to protect their new cash cow, so they will lobby for provisions that will make it harder for cottage industry owners to operate. It will be marketed widespread so all the people who never heard of it will now be buying "big tobbaco ecigs" meaning less potential profit for all you guys who have pioneered this industry here in the US.
All I know is as long as I can, I will never buy my product from big tobbaco. And if they run the little artisans out of business, my nicotine days will have set sail for good!

Arrrrrrr, ta Davy Jones locker with em me 'earties!!!
:)

You sure you want to know? I'ts pretty glaring once you notice it ... kinda ruins the moment if you loose that pucker factor in what he is about to do in the movie.

I dunno, but it seems to me that they are going to market a product that we have been trying to evolve away from since the early days. Who want's another pen style that only lasts a couple hours? It seems the market is full of them already and the people with some vaping experience demand a better product, with far less hassle, more longevity of battery and can be relied upon to vape consistently all day. I guess they are going after the noob market initially. In that case, as the influx of new vapers hits the market we may actually benefit greatly from the expanded market and all the new vapers looking to upgrade into better and better products.

I do! I'm a movie person - I already know a lot of the behind the scenes not so magic stuff so it won't ruin the movie... probably...
Does it have to do with the actual liquid he breathes?

Arr, well I'm going to work now, but to answer your question, if you watch the couple scenes where he is in the suit sitting outside the pool, you can see the liquid sloshing in the top of the helmet and clearly see that it is a double glass face mask and only about an inch of fluid is in it bobbing up and down and he has his face in a smaller bubble without fluid. They should have caught that in editing but heck, it took me 5 or 10 times seeing that scene to catch it. :D

Be back later, arrrrrr

Ohhh... now I have to watch it again - I'd always read that they filled the helmet with water and had a colored light at the top to make it look pinkish (or whatever color it was) and that Ed Harris held his breath for those scenes. Actually, both may be true - perhaps what I read was only for the full on face shots?

The problem I see with this scenario is once the government gets their piece of the pie, the regulations and sanctions they are going to impose on the e juice suppliers. Yes it will promote a standardized product, but the cost that it will incur to maintain the government standards are going to potentially kill off the smaller but well known to the veteran vaping community, e juice suppliers. Not to mention drive the prices skyward.
