Wow, bet it's been 15 years since I've gone to a fair... I remember the fried bread the best. Wonder what they do locally, I've never paid attention to it.

Cappy, it has been probably 12 or 13 since I've been to ours here. My current GF loves people watching at things like this so I thought I'd take her for some brownie points and some food for me lol

Ahoy and good morning to all, hope the week is going well for ye.

Very quiet indeed and most of last batch went to Europe, don't know if we will see much pr0n at all.

I accepted more pre-orders than usual so there will only be a couple of extras for the website and about 90% of the preorders are going to Europe again. We might be sailing with a skeleton crew for a while, not much I can do about it :(

Well, all caught up on paperwork, even though it cost me a bit of money. (Found two orders with shipping charged twice I had to refund), but aside from that everything is ready to rock and roll on the next batch.

The budget is somewhat harder to figure now, I have to keep prepayed pre-orders separate from usable income, but the price increase along with a small increase in desk caddy sales have stabilized the finances and we look good enough to keep sailing for some time to come.

There were a few pre-orders that got slammed with a price jump, I feel bad about that but there wasn't much I could do about it then and it all seems to have turned out ok.

It sounds like the bearings are going on my belt sander now, what a racket it is making, but I can replace it for about $75 and I actually can afford to do that this batch, so things must be better! :D

The stabilized box elder burl knife scales are proving very popular but are very difficult to work. I was thinking of not using them anymore when a solution to the problem occurred to me. Some pieces have lacked the strength I need for side panels and had to be cast aside, but I realized I can simply laminate them with a thin piece of harder wood stock on the inside and problem is solved. The laminate would not be visible from the outside, so I will be shopping for burls and ordering a selection of them for next batch to replace the ones that have been used up. I also need to keep a good stock of the various Koa woods on hand, they are also quite popular.

I will keep bothering David until he gets the picture gallery for the website, it is the best way I can think of to show off all the wood combinations possible. The pictures used for pre-orders are small and hard to visualize I think.

I was able to improve on the Cruiser II's this batch by mounting a back panel on them. Now they have matching panels front and back just like the big boys. The trick was mounting the back panel before any other cutting was done on the box.

The new Band saw is a treat to use. Cutting side panels on it is a breeze compared to the horrors of trying to cut thin stock on a table saw and the mandatory finger counting after the task was done.

Other than all that, business as usual here at RSM, arrrrr fer now!

Good morning (afternoon?) crew!

Glad to hear you're back on track Cappy!

I wish I could have sprung for a D2 with my preorder, but my budget is off from my new tires :(

No worries mate, hell, when it comes down to it *I* couldn't afford one of these without saving up for a few months.

Speaking of Waho, I received a present in the mail today, an A7 ERA.

Opened it up, it already had a coil at 1.8ohms setup and ready to go. I put in half a dozen drops of my Cinna-menth and gave it a try.

At first there was a slight machine oil taste, guess I should have cleaned the housing first but it went away after an hour.

Well, I shrugged when people talked about how awesome the vaping on a ERA was but this thing hits like a brand new atomizer and with the size of the feed hole it will not gradually choke off like an atty does. Clouds of vapor and with the bottom able to hold a dozen drops of juice I shouldn't have any more problems with the occasional dry vape until I squonk again.

I must admit, I am sold on these and I can see a definite reason to keep making bottom feeders. Talk about easy street and I am getting a much better hit than a tank which I always found to be a bit dry for me.

Some pr0n for ya. Thanks Waho!

I love new toys ... arrr

You're very welcome :D

For the low cost and being Chinese made, I'm impressed with the quality and performance.

I'm very impressed, they seem very nice considering there are others like it out there for what seems to be 10 times the price? I see nothing at all wrong with these things. Good materials, nice machining and pretty to boot and the bottom feeding works sweet.

Thanks again, made my day :)

Just wait until you go to rebuild it. In mine the holes for the wire are in the worst possible places. Took quite a bit of tweaking/prodding/cursing to get it lined up right. :D

Hmm, mine are in the side of the posts, right about where I would like them I think. I'm entertaining the thought of getting some to stock on the website, I'm that impressed with them and they fit the Cruisers and Cutlass's like a glove, couldn't hardly ask for a better accessory to stock :)

Looking at it tho, it looks like they went through the wrong side of the posts when they put it together, I would use the opposite sides to stick the wire through.

Ahoy and good morning! The dog woke me up, I was merrily sleeping right through the alarm going off, oops..

I ordered a small number of A7's and coil rebuilding materials. I would like to slowly start carrying supplies to support the models I sell but it will have to be baby steps, just one or two things at a time. I will also have to dig into how to ship 1st class mail items as I dislike the thought of charging priority mail for a 5 dollar purchase.

No matter how far you sail there is always more water ahead. Arrrr TGIF maties!

The new D2 pulled safely into the wrong port yesterday. Seems my postal carrier was having a slow morning and decided to carry it with her and leave a slip instead of bringing it up to the door. After two trips to the post office it finally arrived. It looks great! I'll try to get some pics up soon.
