Had to pull another double and now have time to catch up. The loss of Jack is somber indeed. He was very passionate about the RSM crew and the Reonauts. So much that he pursuade the Captain to alter his caddies to accommodate Reo specs. He was so proud of his collection. His uncanny charisma and humor. I will miss.

Hope everyone is doing fine and enjoy the weekend so far. Sad news there... condolences to Jack's family and friends. He was a nice person to deal with on the forum, and I'm sure he was a joy to be around.

For those waiting on the batch, they are currently drying with their second base coat of finish. When it is nice and dry, probably tomorow, I can begin assembling them. Then I check for scratches from assembly, light sanding and a couple more coats of finish and drying time and out the door they go.

Just got home from VapeStock...what a blast!
I took my Destroyer and quite a few people asked about it...I think I may have drummed up some business for you, Capt'!

Evening all.
Quiet weekend, sometimes thats kinda nice.
I gave the mods a light sanding today and another light coat of finish. I want a certain level of smoothness before I build them and they were still feeling rough. Build day will probably start Tuesday or Wednesday now.
I also just suddenly got slammed with a bunch of desk caddy orders today! Don't know why that happened, but tomorrow I will spend all day making caddies while the mods dry. It's the rainy season now down here so drying will take a tad bit longer even using the dust free drying room I have.
Damn, forgot to take pics of them after this last coat and don't want to handle them now. I'll try tomorrow.
I hope everyone who went to vapestock had a good time. I guess I should have tried to bum a ride up there, kinda stuck without a car this weekend. I also didn't have much of anything except the mods in my 'historical' collection to bring anyway, ah well.

Oh yes, just remembered, I lost one Cutlass II I was making for the website. The round-over bit I used on the edges caught the zebra wood bad and tore out a large chunk and I'm afraid she has joined Davy Jones's mod collection. I also messed up a Cruiser for the website when it slipped in it's holder and I cut it way crooked on the tablesaw, ah well.
I think I am making um... 8 Cutlass dna's, 2 Destroyer dna's, 2 Cutlass II's and 10 Cruisers this batch. Many of them destined for the website.

Don't think so either, but I've always preferred to use non-enhanced wood, It's far more stable.

I thought that the body of my mod would be more darkened, it's a pity they would have been even more attractive. Especially with the brilliant red of carry(wear). But makes you no vain joy they are in I would not refuse the only one

Je pensais que le corps de mes mod seraient plus foncé, dommage ils auraient été encore plus jolie. surtout avec le rouge éclatant des porte. Mais vous fait pas de fausse joie ils sont à moi je n'en refuserais pas un seul

I used a flash on the camera, that will make everything look brighter than it is. It also does not capture the colors perfectly with a flash.
All right, everything is understandable, thus I suppose that they will be completed by the coC. I look forward to receiving them. You really make of attractive work
