Ahoy all, happy Tuesday.

Sitting here playing on the computer again, the update to windows 8.1 is making me update some other programs to solve compatibility problems, what fun.

I'm finally back to vaping at 100% again. The last week I've been experiencing on and off poor vapor production and flavor. It started when I began to build my own coils&wicks and I tore them all down and remade them twice.

I suspected it was the thicker wire or something but rebuilding them didn't help. I finally tried a backup Cutlass and the A7 tasted good again. What???

I closely inspected the Cutlass12 I've been using since February and realized like a dummy that she needed cleaning in the worst way! I tore it apart and vacuumed it out using a small brush to loosen the stray bits, then I used alcohol on the battery tabs and some 600 grit sand paper on the raised parts of the battery tabs too.

I also used cotton swabs to clean out the catch cup / atty connector and then hit it with some alcohol to shine it up and get the remaining juice residue off the atty center conductor.

I used the same needle I use to check for a clear feed tube when assembling new mods to clean out the tube and got a bit of juice crud out of that as well.

Put it all back together and yipee!! I guess it wasn't my making of bad RBA's that was the problem, it was not following my own advice and keeping the unit clean that gave me such a problem.

Words to the wise, a bit of liquid cleaner on a paper town and hit the battery tabs every few months. Just in case....

Anyway, have a fine damn pirate-y day me 'earties, arrrrr!

Some time ago I tried polishing the inside of my destroyer, the tank chamber, with Feed & Wax.

I will never ever do that again.

Did you get some wax down into the connector?

I just realized the dog is acting like a ...... cause he can hear the thunder off in the distance. I brought up the local weather and sure enough were getting hit with the storm that is moving up the eastern seaboard. You guys up north-east are gonna get some snow fer sure!

We got freezing rain last night. It's worse than snow most of the time. 30 car pile up on I75 just -after- my exit thankfully.

Offer in on that house. Hopefully they don't dicker around and just give it to me for my offer :p

Well, it seems the storm has passed and we indeed lost power. If the CNC machine is running when that happens the drive motors will pause until the power comes back but the program will still be running. Unless it's running down a straight line and I slap the emergency off button in time, well, I can only imagine what would happen to the wood when it starts moving again...... better safe than very sorry. I always shut down when there is storms in the local area.

Bad new is, now you people up north are gonna get slammed. That was one long storm front that was passing us by! Good luck.

Good morning crew!

We got maybe a 1/4" of snow up here. The ground is still "warm" so by noon it's mostly gone.

Hope everyone has a safe and pleasant turkey hangover this year! I know I did at work yesterday for our dinner. GM actually shut the line down and let us have 54 minutes to celebrate. Strangely benevolent of them...

I know! It may not even hit 70 here today!

Happy hump day all, arrr..

Looks like 50 for the high here in Texas today. I hate cold (unless I'm bundled up flying down a ski slope).

Anyway, I wanted to wish the crew a Happy Thanksgiving! Go easy on the bird mateys or you'll be fillin' up the chum bucket.
And good luck with the house Waho :)

Happy turkey hangover and retail stampede day crew!

I'm one of the lucky with a 4 day weekend. It's really nice to be able to hit all the thanksgiving's I was invited to. Family and friends are the most important things in life and it's great to be able to see them one of the few times we're all able to accomplish it.

I have a few pictures of us from after dinner but they're kind of lewd, belts undone and midrift showing :D

Ahoy shipmates, hope everyone is having a good weekend?

Nothing much new here I'm afraid. Just got a couple desk caddies to make and also working on the batch some more. No way I can make up the two weeks I lost so I will just maintain a steady course and speed and try to make the deadline.

Wish I had awesome things to talk about, but just same-o same-o, arrr

When are you hoping to open pre-orders for next batch Cappy?

I spent all day today and yesterday working on my mom's car. Fixed one issue but 2 of the other 3 may have to go to the shop for. And next weekend we will probably do her power steering pump. I must say I hate car electrical issues.

Ahoy!

I'm afraid being mostly laid up for a couple weeks really messed up my schedule, but I'm hoping I will have some pics of the batch in a couple weeks time and open up pre-orders then as well.

I'm doing some things with this batch I've not tried before and I hope they are well received. I'm looking forward to posting pictures and getting some feedback on them. I'll keep the thread informed.

Today I made two desk caddies, they just need to be sanded and finished now and I also glued on the back panels of the batch. The next thing is to start routing out the bodies. yeah, I'm a good two weeks behind schedule, but trying to make up time.

I used to like working on cars, but that was back when you could still open the hood and actually SEE the engine, arrrrrrr
