I wanted to try RM2 but the price was too steep for me at $43
how do you like your RM2 supertrunker compared to other rebuildables like A7 if you've used them?

The A7s are good (i have about 8 of them) but the positive connector on the bottom has to be screwed upwards else it risks a short. They are fairly cheap and they blowtorch a nice faux brass colour.
The RM2 is a lot easier to recoil because the posts are miles apart and the ceramic base means i can rest a coil on the bottom if i like and not short my mod. $43 is not $18 for sure, but it vapes really well and leaves me a bit of change to spend that a Cyclone, Fatty, etc would not.

RM2 fits on all my RSMs too ( i have 3).

Ahoy!

Well the end of the day here at RSM. Lot's of rain and storms and the surrounding counties are experiencing flash flooding. Hopefully it won't get that bad here but as usual it kills my CNC time as I can't run them during thunderstorms.

Today was spent with the bandsaw and belt sander but tomorrow I need to start routing out the insides of the boxes so I guess I will have to work around the weather. Maybe start those night owl hours again, it's usually quiet during the dark hours.

On another subject, the mod I'm testing the DNA20 on seems to randomly creep up in output. For example I set the watts at 8.5 and the next day when I check it's creeped up a bit in output, perhaps around 8.8 or so. I can't figure out why it does that. Has anyone else with DNA20 experience seen this happen? It's no big deal, but I'm just curious as to why it happens.

Have a great night all, arrr

Ahoy!

Well, I've got absolutely no real work done today, just spent it cleaning and doing maintenance. Stinkin' weather ....

Good news on another front though. I've been havin' a parlay with the Capt' of the pirate ship Evolv and we have set up a monthly shipment of regulators so I don't have to fret about any delays in the batch due to them being out of stock.

If I have a excess of them due to models making up the batch I can put them up on the website for sale to try to avoid building up a large stock of them. They are too pricey to keep on hand if they aren't going to be used. I already have a half dozen Vamo boards I should get rid of as I went with the DNA's instead.

Yo ho!

It happened sometimes to me when removing the battery and replacing it or if the battery move(disconnect/reconnect). In this case i had 0.1 or 0.2w more.
But it does not happen on all my mods (difference in dna20 chip or how it is built in ?).

Well, I'm not going to worry about it, it's a very small issue but I was just curious why it might be happening. A small voltage spike during battery replacement or jiggling around might very well explain it.

Yo ho ho, where did the week go?

No shipping notice for regulators yet, but I've got nearly a week before it becomes critical. Last day to work on the batch so I am routing like crazy taking advantage of the break in weather.

Today should see the last of the bodes routed out, then comes edging, sizing, sanding, etc. Tomorrow I catch up on desk caddies again.

That's it for news here. There was flooding all around my area but the storm water never got into my own house so good to go!

Everything is still slow it seems, people taking advantage of the last of the summer-like weather? I imagine so...

Anyway, have a great weekend everyone!

Ahoy! Welcome to October me 'earties, I hope the summer slow-down eases up soon and ECF springs back to life.

Waho, is it a long term job then? It's nice to have a feeling of stability in your life. Aside from all the benefits of working for yourself, stability is one thing I don't have I'm afraid.

Business as usual around here, still maintaining cruising speed. Arrr

Yep, it's a permanent job. Got hired from temp status to permanent just before layoff. It's definitely a load off my mind knowing I won't be dropped suddenly and can actually take on a mortgage.

As a side effect, years of paying off small loans beforehand made my credit score damn near perfect. No weird restricted mortgages for me! :D

Ahh, I hadn't realized your previous job was a temp position. My last job was a temp and lasted about a year and a half then abruptly stopped and then I started RSM. I hope the job is stable now then, I certainly agree it is a load off the mind.
