Wow, I have never seen ECF so slow for so long.

Do you think that due to e-cigs becoming more and more mainstream and available from gas stations, dedicated brick & mortar stores and hundreds of E-cig websites that ECF is becoming somewhat unnecessary ? Are people moving beyond this forum or finding what was once a new and interesting 'hobby' no long so?

I talked for just a moment with a male receptionist at the VA clinic a few days ago. He had a well worn EGO sitting on his desk. I asked him if he spent much time on ECF and he didn't know what that was. Thats the second time that happened in the last month when talking to vapers.

I wonder ...

Having vaping becoming mainstream, I guess the forums have done their job where the word of mouth has actually become more powerful than the web. There are many experts out there that, yeah people need for searching out forums for trouble shooting has deminished. I've been touting ECF to a lot for noobs for information. But the information that I've passed on seemed to be good enough for them.

That's a good observation. I originally joined because the stuff didn't work right and the ECF was pretty much the only source of information. I ended up falling off the wagon just due to the lack of ease of use.

Seems the newer converts who know a vaper would probably get their info from them. I know for a fact my comitteeman back at the old shop doesn't know what ECF is despite happily vaping away on a mod I suggested and showed him how to use. He even broke said mod and fabricated a replacement piece on his own.

The party store in town sells a decent quality ego and ce4 kit and actually decent juice. I see tons of folks running around town and especially in bars post michigan smoking ban with similar set ups. And none of them have heard of ECF. I guess some of the entry level stuff actually works now!

Arrrgg, man I'm feeling beat... I wound up having 8 desk caddies for this weekend and it usually takes me something like 2 days to do 4 of them so I'm still hitting them hard. I have 4 orders to fill plus I remembered I had to make 2 more for pre-orders that should probably ship next weekend and also 2 new designs that people have been asking for.

I will have two combination models soon that hold both tubes and boxes for the people who have asked for them. I might knock off anyway though, back is killing me after all the hours on the bandsaw and spindle sander.

Well Waho, at least we can all say "we were there, at the start!" when our grand-kids are using their laser-powered e-cigs, heh.

I personally think it is a mixture of availability (brick and mortar and 98765432123456789 websites selling them now) and how good most devices work now. In the past people found the forum because they wanted more. With Twists and spinners and vv/vw mods available everywhere at a reasonable price people don't need to do as much research. Also the sheer number of devices available now I think kinda makes the forums feel slower.

Very true. People splitting their time in their favorite vendor/device forums when there are so many vendors/devices means less folks in each.

It's possible your correct. Even though I am prohibited from posting in most threads due to being a dirty rotten scoundrel of a mod pushin' pirate, I'm still subscribed to many threads so I can at least read the chat about this and that.

Last fall I used to see dozens and dozens of posts during the day but now I can go the whole day and see maybe 4 or 5 amongst the various threads. Maybe the threads themselves are old too and your right, people are always looking for whats new.

Well, not much you can do about it except go with the flow ....

Well Cappy, I must say that you are keeping up with what's trending. You gave us the DNA 12 and now the 20. Then I read somewhere that you are now making bigger bores to accommodate rba's. What more can we ask for.

I agree completely. IMHO Cappys mods are among the best of the best. They just aren't as advertised as some of the others.
