Arrr, time for another break and catch up on some serious vaping ... puff puff puff..

This has got to be the most difficult batch I've done in a long time, but at least the woodwork is done. I lost all but one of the four Mark-7's this batch and the remaining one has been grabbed already. Next batch will have to be VERY Mark-7 heavy to make up for it. Maybe just a whole batch of Mark-7's and a few 8's. Ah well, the ship sails on ....

Ok, just a bit 'o porn for ya, just finished hand sanding the 2 Mark-6's and 8 Mark-8's of the batch, sorry they are still a bit dusty. I'll spend the rest of the night sanding the other box of Mark-9's & 10's and tomorrow I can give em a coat of finish. While the finish dries I will make bottles and start cutting wires to size for assembly :)

One mod in there is Yellowheart, with Rosewood ends and a macassar ebony door, I was kinda thinking a Yellow Jacket engraving might look kinda cool on the reverse side?

Got awfully quiet, guess everyone else must be kicking back too. Washed off the dust, grabbed a beer and some popcorn and I started watching the Firefly series again. Musta been 6 months now since I last watched it, noticing things I missed the first time through.... shiny!

The only blue county in Texas!
Cappy, have you noticed the blue sun logo in the show that you engraved on Blue? I adore that show. The new Avengers movie that is getting such amazing reviews is the same director so I'm thinking we will see a lot more of his work in the future. That makes me happy! Off to bed now. Goodnight.

The only place I noticed it was a t-shirt Jayne was wearing once. I'm off to bed too, night all!

PLEEEASE, tell me the one that survived is mine??? I don't know if I could stand the disappointment if I were to lose it before I even got it. Especially, after I've told everyone who'll listen about this exquisite work of art that'll soon be joining my family. Can someone say counting my chickens before they hatch???

That would be cool in Destroyer mode.

LOL...you can stop holding your breath now NYS...yours was indeed the only Mark-7 that made it :D Cappy informed me that he had problems with the Gabon Ebony and ended up losing those in the process :(

Cappy...that yellowheart one IS pretty cool looking and yes, either a yellow jacket or a bee of some sort would look good on it! The first one, top row, on right side is so slick looking. I LOVE how the strip has more of a pattern within it!!! It just POPS because of the light color surrounding it! :) I'm not usually drawn to lighter colored woods, but that one is an exception! ;)

Although I LOVE to see someone who hasn't yet had the opportunity to own and try one of your mods out yet, win one...what is REALLY REALLY disheartening for me to see is it ending up in the classifieds as soon or very shortly after it has been received (especially when they have the nerve to state "just received, never used)! There are so many who are new to vaping and would love to be able to progress to a more unique, well made, and better performing pv and the opportunity to WIN one is just the icing on the cake for these people. Unfortunately tho...you never know who is in it to win it...or in it to sell it for a profit :( Ok...rant over

this wouldn't happen to be the one in the classies right now would it?

Arrr, ok ok, I'm awake.... first cup of coffee...nectar of the gods..

What? Yeah....mark-7 granadillo, good to go....you know when I was doing final sanding on it I was starting to think it was actually Cocobolo, its so colorful? I will have to compare it with each type to make sure....very pretty wood tho..

I don't think I will engrave the yellowheart unless then new owner tells me to, I am only going to engrave a couple each batch, the Mark-9 I engraved is still sitting on the website, I think it might limit more than enhance the desirableness of mods if I engrave them?

Gabon Ebony.... beautiful, very prone to cracking when heated. Tuc's Mark-10 is the only gabon ebony mod that survived the sanding process which is the tricky part, think I will replace gabon ebony with other less finicky but just as pretty ebonies.

As for reselling mods won in the contest, well at least it ultimately gets into the hands of someone who truly desires the mod. I would rather see that than it sitting on a shelf collecting dust.

Arrr, less typing, more drinking coffee..... at ease, carry on!

Cappy...I kinda think that a few with engraving on them sets them apart from other wood mods tho. All you can do is offer up a few and see how fast they move and go from there ;)

As far as reselling stuff won in a contest...all I will say is this...if the Captain is okay with it, then so be it. He is, of course, the Commander of his ship!! ;)
