Congrats on getting that AMAZING looking Marauder!! That one was my favorite of the Mark-10's. If it had been a Destroyer, I probably would have tried to snag it up instantly! Notice I said "tried", lol? I KNOW there would have been others with the same thoughts as myself tho ;) How is vaping with it? Are you vaping it with the 18650 battery or a pair of LifePo's? My only problem with the Marauder was that my sweet spot in vaping is between 4.3 to 5v, so 3.7v is just way to low..and 6v is way too high :(

Just rescued my mark 10 marauder from the mailbox! The fit and finish of this mod are truely amazing! Loving the volt meter inside as well. I'll definitely be back for a destroyer in the future :)

Terrible photos I know. The wood always looks so much better in person. Simply stunning! Thank you Cappy, you are truely a master of your craft.

Ahoy ... awake and guzzling my morning coffee... clouds of vapor circling my head ...

I'm not sure yet what the next batch will have, like I mentioned before I am shutting down for a bit. The ship has been cruising at full speed for a long while now and I think its time to dry-dock and see where we stand.

I usually judge what I am going to build by the past popularity of models, so I would think the next batch will probably be only two models again, some version of the VV inset tank and 6ml feeder.

arrr, more coffee ....

Cappy said the next batch is going to be "Destroyer heavy" ;) I am one of the unfortunate souls who lost hers in production, so I also look forward to seeing some Destroyers in the future! :D

Edited to add: Oops...guess I might have been wrong Sands

Brian, I will practice my pirate talk and get better and don't even know if this is a correct place to ask but are there plans for any more Mark VII Destroyers in the near future. This would be my first Red Sky mod so not really picky on wood but now using carto tank and vv so it seems like it would fit me pretty good. I watched this batch and the Destroyers had some problems and the one that made it was promised. No real hurry either but a ballpark on the Destroyer would help. Will PM if preferred. Thanks!
Arrr'?

No, you're right Cherewine, the next batch will probably be split between Mark-7 type mods and Mark-8 type mods. Feeders have always been popular, and the lack of Destroyers last batch has built up a demand for some of those too.

I will be pretty busy during shutdown sandscards, I am tearing down part of the shop, building a new bench to eliminate clutter, expanding the dust free area, re-arranging woodworking machines and doing a complete inventory. The more excess parts I have laying around the less I have to spend on wood.

I am also pleased to see the other wood mod makers threads back on page one a lot, I was starting to think we were all gonna get torpedoed by the new rush of cheap tube mods, but I guess we are still holding our own against the tide, so far anyway.

Thank you, its my new favorite wood mod! My "sweet spot" is actually 3.7 volts with a 1.7-2.0 ohm cart/atty so its perfect for me. I just can't bring myself to buy another type of battery/charger so I have a collection of 18650 mods. Makes life easy (and I'm also terribly lazy :))

The only problem with it is that I work in a foundry and I couldn't bear to ruin any of my wood mods. Still "stuck" with the silver bullet around the fires of industry :(

Broken Arrow, OK
My vaping is a lot like yours. I am set up now for vaping in the 4.5 to 5.5 range. I might have to go back and try some of my lower resistance cartos with 3.7 and see how they compare. I haven't used them for quite a while. If they taste OK then I might be able to get by with the Maruader but think the Destroyer is the best for for me, and you. Hopefully there will be enough in the next batch we won't have to fight too hard over them.

GREAT...then the Marauder is PERFECTION for you then! :D I agree with bringing ANY type of wood mod to your type workplace. The SB or some type of tube mod would be ideal for your situation/work. I used to work in a factory and would NEVER EVER have entertained the thought of bringing any of my precious ladies there!!

Perfection is the word I would use to describe it indeed :)

Plus if the SB acts up I just threaten to toss it into the furnace with the molten aluminum and it straightens out real quick :p (As a side note, -never- throw liquid into molten metal! It goes boom. A friend of mine got hit in the face with molten aluminum a few weeks ago while moving metal and there was condensation in the container.)

It's good that you got one, this will probably be the first and only run of Mark-10's I make. I made some of all 5 models I have designs for, just to see how popular they were and am going to concentrate on the top two styles and drop the others. There's just me in the shop and the fewer models I make the more mods I make and less confusion.

sorry Captain but there are still several mod (8, 9 and 10) or i wrong?

Aye, I believe there are 2 Mark-6 Wenches, 1 Mark-8, 1 Mark-9 and a few Mark-10's left. I have 3 more Mark-8's I need to finish and put up on the site and the batch will be complete.

Going to stay with the Mark 9? It really is a nice beastie. Not too large, excellent run time, simple.

I don't think so, they sell but not very fast, and also I think they are direct competition to another maker who makes that setup and I would like to leave his niche alone on hindsight, things are hard enough out there without that sort of competition.

I will be sticking with the VV type inset and feeder mods I think and see how it goes :)

I know this is long overdue but I took this yesterday

And by the way which designs were actually the most popular? I could definately see the Mark 7s and 8s being incredibly popular. And possibly the Mark-6s as well... If you can't tell I think VV mods are the ones gaining in popularity rather than set voltage/wattage mods.

EDIT: I didn't have time to stop by the house on the way to dinner last night, the blue DCT was all I had in the car that fits :D
