It's burgundy now. used to be brown.

Time fer some more pics, yo ho!

Here are the 6 Mark-8 Dread's that will be in this batch. This is only a batch of 12 this time, I wanted to do a smaller batch so it could get done faster yet still get more attention to detail than a big batch.

First is a Bloodwood body with east indian rosewood for end caps. Next is a always popular Marblewood mod with Brazilian Ebony for end caps, and last is a Leopardwood (lacewood) mod with Rengas Tiger ends.

First in this picture we have a engraved & pirate-y Cross cut Bolivian rosewood body with Gabon ebony back panel and matching door panel and I used Zapote for end caps. The second one in the picture is a Zebrawood body with Amazon Rosewood ends and the last one is a Curly tiger redwood body with Padauk back panel, front door panel and end caps.

Bumping up the Mark-7's

Here are 3 of the Mark-7 Destroyers. The first is Curly tiger maple with Rengas tiger end caps. I just had to add the Tiger engraving to match the theme.

Next is a Cocobolo body with Redheart end caps and I engraved it with a 3D Celtic Circle. I left the door thick and tapered it's edges to match the body as the Cocobolo doors are prone to warping and leaving it thick minimizes the risk.

The third one is made from that gorgeous Granadillo wood that looks so 'olde tyme' with Bubinga end caps.

First is a Yellowheart with a cocobolo side panel and cocobolo door and end caps. I also made a yellowheart door panel in case I didn't like the cocobolo but it looks nice so I will just include the spare door with the mod. Again I made the door extra thick and beveled it to protect agains warping of the cocobolo.

Thanks SOOOO much for your time (and patience) with me (((Cap)))). I believe that I'll go with the Cocobolo. The pics REALLY helped with my decision!! I'll just take the black button/cup on it as well. As far as glossiness....as much as I can appreciate the higher gloss finishes, I have to agree with what you once told us...about the finish wearing off over time. The satin finish works great for these woods!!

Yeah, number 2 and 4, cocobolo and yellowheart are spoken for. The top row are all Mark-8's.

Not really, if you look at the insides I pretty much use all available room for everything.

Ordered a couple of IO6 1.5 ohm for the Mark 9. I like the 801 fusion cartos, and io6 2.5 ohm, so they should be nice

I put the last coat of finish on this batch early this morning, once it dries hard I will start to assemble them but I don't think that will be until tomorrow. Guess that leaves me free today to go play too, in the rain, arrrggg

Just a reminder;

Basic troubleshooting tips

If your RSM suddenly fails to fire, things to check.

1. Did you recently adjust the voltage? The voltage display needs a minimum of 2.8v to light. Turn adjustment screw CW to increase the voltage.

2. Does the display work without an atomizer connected? Your atomizer may be shorting out the regulator.

3. Are the batteries tight? You may need a magnet spacer. Place it on the positive (raised) end.

4. Is the battery tab clean? I have received several 'dead' mods where either wax, dried juice or other contaminations have caused it to fail. I simply scrape them clean and send them back.

5. Are the switches making good contact? Try switching them back and forth with the 'Fire' button pressed.

Always remember to not over-tighted your atomizer or tank. Tighten just enough to feel resistance.

The cheap China atty connectors are the weak link in the system, I hope better quality connectors may be available someday.

If you over tighten them constantly they WILL fail.

If the LED starts flickering then your atomizer/tank is too tight and shorting out the system. Loosen it up and it should start working again.

Wow, can't believe how slow everything has gotten. ECF is dead slow lately and I'm gonna have to start selling mods at the local swap meet or have a yard sale or something. I don't remember it being this slow last summer? Ah well...

Time to kick back and watch something, might try to find a good anime series I haven't seen yet. So many to choose from.

I think it's partly because it's actually gotten so slow to load so often. I can't stay on like I used to- too many times it takes 30 seconds to load a page! It's crazy. I do other things while I'm on, almost always, or I couldn't stand it. I hope they fix it soon. Good luck finding something good to watch.
