Wow, can't believe how slow everything has gotten. ECF is dead slow lately and I'm gonna have to start selling mods at the local swap meet or have a yard sale or something. I don't remember it being this slow last summer? Ah well...

Time to kick back and watch something, might try to find a good anime series I haven't seen yet. So many to choose from.

Arrr

Maybe you should try watching "Berzerk". It's pretty cool.

Afternoon all, happy birthday First Mate, why don't ye take the day off lass? Arrr

Well, woke to tropical storm Debbie dumping rain on us and house dog Buddy drooling like a gibbering idiot. Funny what lightening does to dogs, heh.

My dog don't like lightning either, but he HATES thunder. Every time theres thunder he finds a new place to hide.. In bad storms he can't stop moving.. Its funny but i feel so bad for him sometimes.. Ill lay on the floor and hold him..

Ahoy Cappy! Sounds like it's time to batten down the hatches and go below board? Would a hurricane affect you with severe damage if it hit?

It would if it hit directly, but this little storm is just slowly passing off to the west and heading towards Texas I think. We get them continuously during the rainy season. I've been through a couple hurricanes, once when I was stationed on Adak, AK and another when I was stationed on Guam. Fun watching a 5 ton dump truck sliding sideways down the road followed by someones roof, arrrr

Drooling, quivering mass of nerves ... reminds me of me on my first date, har har har!

Awwww...that's sweet of you to do that for your doggie Landlord! My little girl isn't afraid of storms, but she sure doesn't like fireworks! There is a fireworks stand right down the road from my place and every night they have been lighting off fireworks and the occasional M-80! She scoots directly to my son's room and either hides under his desk, between his feet, or tries to jump onto his lap (which isn't easy for her to do because she's gotten so heavy that she normally won't even attempt it!)

Buddy, the collie we got as a rescue last year tries to hide under my desk at home, and at 85 or so pounds (he's gained 30 pounds since we got him, he was such a wretched, emaciated thing when he got here) he doesn't fit well. More than once I've turned around and almost fell over him when he quietly sneaks up and sits down behind me while I'm working on something.

I wonder if they slowly get used to it? He came from Michigan to Florida, the lighting capitol of the world! heh

LOL....I've found that the tv DOES help ease their misery quite a bit too! Only problem on my end is that I have to turn it up so loud to drown the booms out cuz' they are THAT CLOSE to me!

"More than once I've turned around and almost fell over him when he quietly sneaks up and sits down behind me while I'm working on something.".....doesn't that just drive ya nuts when they do that? lol. Snickers does that to me either when she's scared or has one of her "clingy" days and when I accidentally step on her foot or kick her cuz' I don't know she's so close to me when I'm walking, then squeals....I'm so startled that I holler at her...then feel bad afterwards

Arrr, lost power for a minute, happens around here. Just checked the batch, still tacky so I turned up the heating lamps a bit but the humidity is so high right now .. bad timing to have drying paint when a thunderstorm hits ... Have I angered Calypso, vengeful goddess of the seas, again?

Well, if I disappear for a while you know it's just a power outage.
