Good Saturday Cappy and crew!
Hope everyone is surviving this heat wave okay.

We're just starting to REALLY warm up here in the Pacific Northwest and it looks like we'll be seeing those three digit temps starting today thru next week!! *ugh* I'm sure glad that I work in an air conditioned environment!!

Weather is beautiful here, it's easy to see why so many people retire to Sarasota, just a bit south of where I live. Often there is an evening rain during the summer months and everything is starting to get green and lush again. Not to mention that all the snow-birds (retiree's) have gone north for the summer, it's just a fine damn time o' the year, arrr.

Busy trying to work out the bugs from my next offering, I'm trying to incorporate as many of the suggestions, complaints and ideas that I've received over the last year into one mod as I can manage. The first one will be a new mod styled for inset tanks.

Some of the features I'm trying to work into the design to answer your call is;

Bring back dual mode - battery check option.
Shaped doors rather than rectangular panels.
Shaped and styled edges rather than straight lines.
Covered electronics rather than exposed components and wiring.
Even more exotic woods yet offer them cheaper (ouch ...I will be happy to manage to do all this at the same price)
Fancier inlays (to do this I will have to use inlay materials made by other specialized wood crafters)

Things I am not gonna do at this time;

Make them using the Kick board. (My board is cheaper and works better, why should I change that?)
Make them using the DNA board (same answer)
Go back to pre-ordering all mods. (I think I shall, but I need some time to get that figured out again.)

and ... that is what ol' Cappy is currently up to.

Have a fine evening! Arrrr

Kinda don't know if it counts but as to the exposed chip issue, it think that it should stay that way. When I show it off to people it adds to the wonderment and cool factor. Also if the chip was to malfunction the it would be easier for you to replace. Just brain storming and rambling. Just wondering how an inset tank mod would look like in a Cutlass looking mod.

I was going to design a removable cover for the electronics, so they can still be repaired easily yet cover them up. I had intended to do it for the mark-7 many months ago, but put it on hold to get them made faster.

I want to keep the dimensions I have now, some people found the cutlass too wide to hold comfortably and I had some comments that it looked way too bulky. Also the way it was constructed made repair very difficult.

I will bring back dual mode, click the switch one way for dual 18350 batts and VV, click the other way for 3.7v using an 18650 and click to the center position to turn the mod off. All you people hounding me for dual mode using the 18350's again may cheer now, har har har ...

Yes!!!! Nothing against the other batteries but I have soo many 18350's already this is great. Although as I have yet to buy a tank and really like my feeder I will probably wait till you make a feeder version if that is possible with all you have planned.

I'm cheering for the 18350s aswell ... i dont get a lot of joy with 16340s. Concerning the chip it's a great decision to keep it, that thing outperforms the kick and the dna by miles and is significantly more reliable with the passage of time. Plus i don't want to vape at a certain voltage limit, the option to go well above 6v is always more than welcome. The hardware on RSM is great, and i enjoy using the mods every single time.

If i may, the only improvement i would like to see is in the feeder tube... would help a lot those that vape more VG than PG in their juices... a single tube going from top to bottom of the bottle, an oring to make the seal and a wider diameter tube for the top connector would improve things by a mile.

Love your work Cappy, i'm certain more and more people will be tempted to own at least one great wood mod.

G'morning maties. And yes, I am all geeked up about the new design buzz. What would you call it? Since your mod are solidly built, you should call it Ironclad.

I don't really know what to call them, I am also working on a complete revamp of the bottom feeder. They will both be similar in operation and function, but the layout and style has all changed.

can't wait to see the new version. Sounds like they're going to be the best models in RSM evolution.
Can you really do that all without a price jump cappy?

I kind of have to do it without increasing the price much I think. There is so much competition now and more popping up each week it seems, more than ever I have to offer a superior mod at a very competitive price or people will simply go somewhere else.

I might have a picture to show in a weeks time, but I am just now making mock-ups to test fit parts as I attempt to make them. It's a slow process..

Capt' your mods are beautiful. I think whatever you come up with this time will be just a wonderful as your past creations.
After having one in my hand I don't see why you aren't backordered all the time lol
I'm going to my 1st vapemeet on saturday and will be happily showing off my Mark 8 :D
