People do like things Shiny! No, the same finish, but I've been doing a better job waxing them before they go out the door. Help the new owner with waxing it by giving it a good carnuba wax job before it leaves the ship.

So that's not lacquer huh? Cool, what do you use for finish anyway unless it's a trade secret or something. I always liked the look of your early mods with the natural finish. Always assumed it was some kind of hand rubbed oil but sounds like I was wrong. Wondering about the finish as they look great but also what it is so I will know how to maintain it.

Ahoy, I'm up... just getting me coffee and browsing around ... still waiting on a bit of wood before I can really get started on the next batch.

As for the finish, yup, satin polyurethane and a carnuba wax job before it leaves the ship. For maintenance a good hard wax would do the job of keeping it real shiny, or a soft wax like Howards Feed N Wax also does the trick.

Just wanted to stop in and say a big thank you again to Cappy for all you do for us and from my mother and I thank you for your great repair work.

Little back story I had to send in both of our RSM's last week for some repairs. My RSM I thought had a bad 510 connector but turned out to be a weak button.

As for my moms well her RSM is the only PV she will use and takes it everywhere with her. Unfortunatly she is a bit clumsy at times and it has been dropped a few times. I have tried to keep it running by glueing it back together. I have had to glue the end caps back on 2 times and repair the door twice also but I am the kid that you never wanted to build a model becaue it ended up with more glue then plastic.

Needless to say I sent them back last week Cappy got them Friday or Saturday and Saturday night he got back to me letting me know repairs were done and the very fair cost of repairs and shipping. He shipped them back out Monday morning and I just got back from te post office and had to get on to thank him again and share a couple quick pics.

The one on the left is mine just got a new button. The one on the right Cappy cleaned up some of the excess glue and redid the doors to sit flush since my glue job left a bit of a gap and the level between the door and main part of the body wasn't flush so he fixed that as well. He also shined them both up and I couldn't be happier. I just hope we will have the money to buy another pair of the new versions as these are both such cherished posessions.
