It's my cruiser, its picture is on the web site  I've ordered another cruiser yesterday (Curly Koa #2/african Mahogany) I really love Cruisers (I've had a mahogany cruiser, and a Mark 8 as well)

I bought some of these Ultrafire 4000mah 18650 batteries. Ridiculously cheap.

UltraFire 18650 3.7V Rechargeable Battery 4000mAh BRC | eBay

I actually bought these for my flashlight but decided to give it a try on my Cutlass.
The voltage drops quite a bit when atomizer is on. Right now, when I check the battery without the atty it shows 4v, but when atty is on the LED shows 3.5v. Another of the same battery is at 4.11v without atty and 3.55v with atty.

I don't know if voltage drop is normal on unregulated mode but this is little too much and a big dissapointment.
Can't even get 3.7v from fully charged battery?? hmmmm..
No more Ultrafire batteries for me now...

Yup, 0,6 drop on Ultrafires, usually 0,5 drop on Trustfires , 0,20-0,25 tops on Panasonic CGR18650CH 2250, 0,17-0,22 on AW IMR 1600 ( no reason to mention the AW 2000 since the panasonic 2250 beats them easy ).
Not to mention those "4000 mAh" are bearly 2400-2500 real mAh.

Probably best performance for best price would be to get Sanyo 2600 ICR.. they perform the same as the Panasonic / AW 2600 , but much more affordable, and the drop is surprisingly low.
Best capacity at the moment : Panasonic NCR18650B 3400mAh.

Ahoy all, trying to get 20 hours of work done in 12, but I'm uploading pics as we speak, then I can post the batch pictures here. David is now working on updating the website with all available mods from the batch. I've completed final testing and they all passed so now I am putting together the kits for the pre-orders... so much to do.....zoom off I go...

Back in a bit...arrr!

And here we go..Cutlass II's

Mahogany and Red box elder burl;

Curly tiger maple and Flame box elder,

African Mahogany and Zebra wood,

Padauk and Gabon ebony,

Black walnut and Ziricote,

Destroyer II's...

Black walnut and Quilted Maple,

Black walnut and Curly Koa,

Black walnut and Gabon ebony,

Padauk and Curly Koa,

Cruiser II's

Curly tiger maple and Green box elder burl,

African Mahogany,

I made some upgraded Cruiser II's this batch. I figured out how to do front and back matching panels this time...

Curly tiger redwood and Curly Koa,

All Padauk,

Aromatic Cedar with Padauk panels,

The rest of the batch are more of the standard Cruiser II's to replenish the ranks.

I may have to end pre-orders before Thursday, they are rolling in pretty fast and I don't want to get too swamped. We'll see.

Yo ho!

Arrr, time to quit fer the night.

Say, remember when I mentioned I was missing a pair of batteries after last batch? A few days ago I got an E-Mail from a customer in Italy thanking me for the "Free Gift", but warning me about shipping batteries via USPS. I don't have a ECF name for him so I guess he never saw me post, heh. I wonder if I could have gotten in trouble for that? Ah well..

Back later!
