Well, someone heard me mention I was making desk caddies and passed it along .. got hit with two more orders this afternoon! Well, I like making caddies but I was just getting ready to route out some mod bodies. Arrrr
I wonder if I may ask a quick question, please. Although I'm not unfamiliar with bottom feeders, (I usually live down on the Reo forum), I was fortunate enough to pick up a Mark 8, Dreadnaught on the classifieds. It was just delivered an hour or so ago and is in absolutely like new condition. I must say that I am more than pleased with the design, operation and workmanship.
The mod came with four, (4) 16340 batteries that are probably nearing the end of their useful life. My question is if I can substitute AW IMR, 18350 batteries. They fit without a problem, (without the use of the magnetic spacer), a short test period indicates that they function fine but I am unaware if they will lead to any long term damage. (If I can use them it will make life a tad bit easier since I already have a large quantity for some of my Reos.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
I have enjoyed following your forum, the camaraderie reminds me of both the Reos and Trippy Tip forums. Kudos to you all.
Jack
Well, even with unprotected batts like AW IMR 18350, you should be fine as far as the discharge level is concerned if you use the Dread above 3.1V, as it would simply stop firing as soon as the stacked batteries won't be able to deliver the required voltage IMO
