Protected batteries have a 5.2 amp max discharge. Evolve recommends at least a 6 amp I believe. I am guessing it will work but won't work full wattage with lower ohm stuff. Although what I don't understand is according to ohms law 1 ohm at 12 watts is only 3.46 amps so why evolve recommends 6 I am not sure.

I remember reading somewhere that the electronics use quite a bit more amperage than ohms law suggests due to the lower loaded voltage, and as the batteries get more discharged it goes up from there to make up for the voltage droop.

Something like 6 amps of current draw at 14w with 1 ohm load on a half dead (3.6v unloaded) battery. Then take that to a battery at 3.2v unloaded, it would need like 9 amps from the battery to supply 14w at 1 ohm.

All this is off the top of my head, but I do remember it being 9 amps on more discharged batteries. Most likely a safety feature to prevent lower quality batteries from attempting to supply that much amperage that may result in battery failure.

Well my 1. Destroyer shipped quite fast and produces perfect Vape with my Kayfun and my Penes.
Beside this I am blown away by the beauty of this mod.
The wood, it's texture and the superior craftsmanship are a unique pleasure for me

I am not sure but this might be one of the DNA-testing-Pieces - so it is a bit of Destroyer "history"

Ahoy, time to stop in and say hello!

Well, instead of taking the weekend off, I worked on getting ahead on desk caddies so I won't have to stop working on the batch as often. I also made a prototype of another desk caddy I will be offering in the future.

It's a large dual level with a 1" drawer in the bottom and will hold more than even the dual level tube caddy.

This is just a prototype, the top and bottom woods will all match on the production model of course.

I also don't like the small tray, so I am going to just add more atty/carto/tip holes.

Back to work I go, I'm getting all the batch wood sized and getting ready to start making panels.

I defininatly agree. That is my exclusive vape. I hear a lot of people leaving them at home. I love rocking my RSM's when I'm out. Maybe you could build me an RSM desk Cappy...... On second thought shipping might be an issue.

A RSM version will come next, but for every RSM there is probably 5000 tube mods, so the first offering is usually for the mass, next is for the class, har!
