Down the rabbit hole..
Remember you can just pull the little tubes out of the bottle to turn it into a Tilt & shoot instead of a messy upright type...good luck!

LMAO...you're so funny Cappy messy upright type...with the bottom feeder hybrid attys and your new catch cups you can't flood it even if you try...no fuss no muss...

I alternated both methods for the first several days, and found that I prefer the tilt-and-shoot.
That said, I didn't notice much of a difference of one over the other with thinner juices, 60+% PG, but I mostly vape 60-70%VG juice, and the tilt-and-shoot definitely works better for me with the thicker juice.

Well, it could have been worse.

To use the upright feed system;

Peer into the gap between atty and catch cup (may need bifocals/magnifying glasses) squash feed bottle like it was the neck of the man/woman you caught with your husband/wife until juice wells out of atomizer connector like a backed up toilet. When you slobber enough juice to drown your atty like an unwanted weasel, release your death-grip on your bottle and the gouts of juice will torrent back out of the atomizer hopefully sucked back into the bottle like Captain Barbossa being sucked into the vortex. Be careful not to tilt your mod or juice will leak out of your catch cup like a nose during flu season.

Yeah? Yeah? You like? :D

I just read the roly's post on batteries,
and holy crap... it scares me to vape now...
but definately good to know. Thank you for mentioning it.

I guess the best choice is AW Li-Mn IMR 18350 battery?
What batteries and chargers do you RSM owners and veterans use?
Looks like that Pila charger is not compatible with 18350.
Can someone recommend me a website that sells the best choices at good prices?

I've been lingering here at ECF for about a week now.
Few hours of reading everyday and it's never ending... :(

I'm on the West Coast, so I know most people have already turned in.... but I just HAD to stop by to say "WOW"!!! and thanks again to the Capt' for making it possible for me to experience the world of VV vaping in one of the most beautiful and well made wooden box mods out there (not to mention a juice feeder, as well) thumb_love_pirate_ani.gif

I did have a bit of a scare when I first started vaping with it... the vapor was so hot that it just about burned my throat and I was kinda thinking that maybe I wasn't cut out for the higher voltage stuff (the box was set at 4.6V, according to my gorgeous purpleheart voltage meter) but after about 5 min. the new atty I was using died!!

So I put in one that I had only been using for a little while, and what a difference!!! Sheer Vape Heaven!!! The flavor and vapor were fantastic... and I haven't even played with the settings yet!!

The place I bought the atty from didn't have the ohm ratings listed on them, but I suspect that might have been a part of the problem... because the other one I have been using all night and the vapor is just perfect... psmiley23.gif

I have noticed the that the box gets a little warm just below where the button/switch is and am hoping that this is normal? I'm not a chain vapor or anything like that... and I don't take very long drags.

Now all I have to do is get my 'squonking' technique down... banana_smiley_49.gif LOL!!

Yes, it will get warm in that spot. The circuit board is mounted behind there and attached to the wood. The regulator gets warm as it operates and the wood acts somewhat like a heat sink to draw the heat away.

For anyone who has a good grasp on the use of PV's, I would like to compile a Do's & Don'ts list geared towards using a wood box mod.

If you have more information that should be added please post it and I will add it to the list or edit what I have already posted). Let me post a few to get started :p

Do:

Clean battery tabs to ensure good contact (weekly?)
Clean atomizer connector (weekly?)
???

Don't:

Over tighten atomizer in connector (will eventually squash the gaskets and cause a short)
Use a wax that dries other than clear (Will leave white colored pits in the wood grain)
???

Drop it
Store it with batteries in it
