haha. Yeah it might help but you really just need one to test the voltage on your batts. If you get IMR's that rule is double.
As I understand it, stacking batts is one of the times when you simply must keep track of the charge on your batts if you are using the unprotected kind.
I normally use those but had a poopoo on my last order and got AW IMR's instead. No biggie just meant I had to get a crash course in battery charging.
It's super easy to keep up with it.

no the IMR's are safe chemistry batts so they are safer and better than protected they cut off before they discharge too low..

you have it backwards..its the protected you have to watch if stacked...:)
