you can be grumpy and stubborn as much as you want as long as you keep giving birth to these nice wood combos! :)
you said cedar is a bit fragile and so not a good choice for a box. what about the other ones? that 406 and that 414 are both GREAT choices, right?

Cedar is the only wood I would call 'questionable' so far, I see now why other makers avoid it. It's beautiful but just not made to last the rigors of daily use without showing wear and tear too quickly.

Every other wood type I use is a true hardwood and will last years and years.

Ok, back to work ... maintenance day, time to tear down the equipment, clean, lube, sharped, tighten, adjust and then I will go back to work :D

Later gator

You all doing anything more interesting?

Not really...just vaping some W2V Ecoberry on my Scallywag.

Watching Cheers on Netflix.

Thinking about going to bed early tonight.

Wondering when my son is coming home from Prom Weekend.

Fun stuff like that...

Just sent it all to me, what I deem as overkill for one man I'll pass it on :).

Yay, almost done, will finish up the last tomorrow.

Now its time to play photographer for another finished mod, then I get to play geek and update the website.

SO many hats I get to wear, wish I could wear a carpenters smock more often, Yarrr!

I need to hire some workers, they need to be cute and free, I'll settle for free... know where I can find that?

Ahoy! Everything that had been ordered has now been shipped, time to start on the new stuff.

Here are a couple pictures of the few Scallywags and Buccaneers I have on hand including the ones I just finished.

Click picture for expanded view

Scallywags (3.7v, 14500 batteries)

On the left is Bubinga with Padauk, then Mahogany with Bubinga, next to that is from the last batch, Black Cherry with Canary wood end caps and horizontal canary inlay on both sides, on the far right is a Mahogany body with a Padauk inlay bracketed by Ebony strips.

Buccaneers (3.7v, 18650 batteries)

Far left is Mahogany with Cebruva ends/inlay, then Black cherry with Box elder ends and inlay, next is White ash body with Guyana Rosewood end caps and inlay, on the far right is White Ash with Cebruva ends and inlay

The easiest way to grab one of these is visit the website and use the new 'Buy' option. I tried to make the purchase process a bit more simple.

Ok, back to work I go, lots to do! Have a great day. :)
